I've been to Animal Kingdom a couple times (obviously I don't go to WDW that much) and I've never even seen this ride, at least I don't think so..:rotfl:

But thanks a to a thread I read yesterday, I saw a video for it.

Now I can't wait to go on it! :p

Any rides/attractions you want to admit you didn't know existed?

the 7-9 years in my party rode this 4 times when we were there in October, they really enjoyed it.

Worked out well that it was next to the green "Magic Carpets" like ride that I can never remember the name of. my 3 year old niece rode that 6 times in a row. the lines were so short after the first 3 times they didn't even make us get off and walk around to board again.

Primeval Whirl is a blast! I heard though that they recently changed it a bit so it doesn't spin as crazy as it used to (something about riders becoming ill). We noticed last trip that this was true but it's still a ton of fun.

as far as something awesome I didn't really know existed that would be the living seas exhibit. I always knew it existed but up until last year we always skipped it. This past trip we spent about 1.5 hours in there just walking around and seeing everything. Riding the nemo ride etc.

We're two 40 year olds! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We'll still like it I think!

Make sure you don't have any neck or back problems, lol! ;) - the first time I rode it, I got hurt. Ended up in pain until the next day. I think it's because they stuffed the ride vehicle.... still traumatized though

The video I watched didn't look too jerky, and didn't have that much spinning, so you're right they must have changed it.

Better for me, I got so sick on The Scrambler at a neighborhood fest last year. Although to be fair, I think it had more to do with me trying to stop squishing the person sitting next to me, I could not stop myself from sliding over, and I'm a pretty small person! :rotfl:

I love primeval whirl! I know it's over in dinoland (kiddieland) but I love it! Its such a nice little ride. We have a ride at an amusement park up here in NY that we refer to as the cat and mouse. It is very similar, but of course Disney's version is way more fun!

I skipped Living Seas last time I was in Epcot in 2011 and the last trip before that where we did see it was 2000!

Thanks for the tip, will definitely spend some time in there this upcoming trip. :)

It's fun but makes me want to barf...

The first time I was on Primeval Whirl was one of the most hysterical moments I've ever had at Disney in my entire life. I was in one car w/ my mom, step dad and aunt (we were SQUISHED) and my sister, BIL and their kids were in another. I could hear my sister HYSTERICALLY LAUGHING AND SCREAMING (not as in she was scared...she was having a blast) across the entire ride. That, in turn, had me laughing so hard I almost peed my pants! lol

Primeval is a Must Do every time we're in AK. Not what I'd call jerky at all, it's just a fun ride.

This ride is always one of THE best parts of my Disney vacation! My parents find it to rough, so just my sister and I ride (I'm 15, she's 20) and we always ride multiple times. Lots of people are talking about how squished it is, but I think that makes it even more hilarious. I always feel like I've completed a serious ab workout form laugher after riding!

I'll never forget the trip of '07 when we were there during tropical Storm Fay (water up to my shin every day!) and there was absolutely no line so they let us ride the ride 5 times in a row before they had to close it down!!

My husband and I love Primeval Whirl as much as our daughter! We've skipped this section of AK for a couple years, then last year I was determined to ride Dinosaur again (bc I just couldn't remember it from the first time I rode it), so we spent some time in this area. We had an absolute blast on PW and are planning on riding it again this trip.

We rode Primeval Whirl for the first time in August 2013.

Three of us loved it.

My son proclaimed: "That was the WORST thing that ever happened to me in my entire life!" He's 7.

When I took my then 12 year old niece in 2006, towards the end of the trip I asked her what her favorite ride was so that we could be sure to ride it again. I expected Splash Mt, Space Mt, something like that. She says Primeval Whirl! Wasn't planning to go to AK again, so we went in the evening just to ride it before closing.

Went on it last week. I HATED it. Now I love roller casters and thrill rides but I found primeval whirl to be to jerky. I did not like it. I didn't mind the spinning but the way it jerked me around hurt me.

It's one of those under rated rides that older DS and I love! Lines really ebb and flow there and it's a slow loader so check out the lines and return if its too long. The height restriction is much higher than you would expect (48??) due to the restraint system. Little guy insisted that the CM measure him one year when it was obvious that he was too short and he cried when he was indeed too short. Very out of character for him but it just looks so fun. The kiddie ride near by is triceratops's spin and is a great place for the short people while you do this one and dinosaur. There are also over priced carnival games that kids can play while you ride. Yes, little guy spent 10.00 to win a tiny cheap stuff animal the year he cried because he was too short to ride:rolleyes1.

The good news is if you miss the ride at Animal Kingdom, you can ride the same Reverchon Crazy Mouse at neighborhood amusement parks, county fairs, and carnivals around the world.

Look at all the fans!

I can't believe I never knew about this ride. Can't wait to try it out!

Thanks for the warnings about spinning and jerkiness, this way I know what to expect. Maybe I'll do it before lunch! :rotfl:
