My niece wants me to ride Primeval Whirl with her when we go to Disney in July and I'm a little worried about getting knocked around, because I'll have a sling on my arm and I don't want to hit my arm on the side of the ride vehicle and be in pain. Does the ride throw you around that much, that there isn't a "safe" place to sit in the ride vehicle? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

If you'll have a sling on your arm than I wouldnt ride it.. It does knock you around quite a bit.. I cant think of a place on this ride that wouldnt knock you around any less than any other place..

BTW.. its a really fun ride..

Thanks for responding, I'm a little sad I won't be able to ride it, but I'll catch it next time I guess.

We've been on it quite a few times. The last time, my daughter got thrown around somewhat, and ended up with quite a painful bruise on her arm. It was the only time something like this happened, but with a sling, I would suggest you don't take a chance.

We have been in all the different seats and we have been forced in one direction or the other each time. We usually laugh because it seems that someone winds up in someone else's lap, even people we don't know  I wouldn't go on it if my arm were hurt and I could hurt it more.

Definitely do not ride it. You will get knocked around. How old is your niece? If you feel comfortable, you can go with her all the way up to actually sitting in the vehicle. Then you can drop her off, she can ride, and you can leave. You can see her from outside the attraction. It's definitely not something you want to be taking a chance with.

She's 7, do they let children ride by themselves? I think she'd be okay riding if there were other children in the ride vehicle with her, but if she's in a ride vehicle by herself I don't know if she'll want to do the ride.

I wouldnt imagine they'd let one person ride by themselves with noone else on the ride.. Usually it seats like 6 people per car.. so I wouldnt think there would be a problem with her riding with others and then you can wait for her at the exit.. she'd have a blast!! This is a pretty busy ride, so Im sure they can get her on with others..

The vehicles usually seat 4 with two on each side. She'd probably be alone on her "side" but with another group on the other side. There's no harm in walking up through the queue and checking it out. If she doesn't want to go, you can easily leave. She would at least get to make the choice herself.
