Could someone describe this ride to me ? I know it spins around, but then I read it is a coaster type too. Does it have steep hills and drops? What ride can you compare it to?

It does spin lol and there are small drops and a bunny hop at the end. But they are small and if drops bother you, you will see them before you ride it. I really cant think of anything to compare it to, personally its a mix between barnstormer and teacups. I hate drops and this I can take.

This was a different kind of ride. I never saw one like it before, but it was mild. You little car spins a little as you are going on a rollercoaster. Have fun.

I found it to be a bit surprising. It did just spin, but the spinning seemed uneven so I found it to be a more intense ride, the drops were easy though. Not sure what to compare it to.

My DD9's FAVorite ride---she did it by herself 6 times after we rode it with her once and had had enough!!! :rotfl:

It is unique. Never seen anything like it except a much rougher ride at Coney Island in the 1950's called "Virginia Reel". The cars spin (like teacups) at the same time they are going down drops. I would have gone on it again, except that my kids did not like it. Not too rough, just unusual. And since it looks like a temporary carnival ride, you do not expect anything unusual. I'd go again.

It's like the WILD MOUSE but spins as well no big drops just a lot of spinning and turning GREAT RIDE

It's funny to hear the differing opinions on this one!! I hate PW!!! I love RnRC, BTMRR, Space Mt....but I just can't ride PW....if I close my eyes I can do it but there is something about the way it spins just as it comes to a corner and then drops that really gets to me. I also find that it can be very jarring depending on how many are in the car. Yep, this is one of two rides I don't like in WDW...ToT is the other one.

It's a Wild Mouse Coaster with Tea Cups for the Ride Vehicles.

Even tho the drops on a Wild Mouse coaster are mild, the thrill come from the sudden corners which send the tea cups spinning before the drop.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this ride. I LOVED it. Wild Mouse Coasters really pump up my heart rate because you always feel like going to go over the edge & get launched out of your car. Primevil Whirl takes that & adds spinning.

This ride was wild... we loved it!!! It was my daughters favorite ride and I have to admit mine too..

Think or it as a Wild Mouse (or Cat). The drops and turns are about the same, what makes PW different is the car also spins like Tea Cups. pirate:

We love the ride. It does have some drops but they are not "air time" drops. Each ride is different in how the car spins as well. So you may be facing forward on some of the drops and another ride you might be facing backwards.

This was my DD7's favorite ride - she went on 3 times. I thought it was a very jarring but I survived. If it were smoother it would be better. I would do it again, if only to hear DD scream!

Boring tame coaster. We all went on it (2 adults, 2 kids) and would say "Thats it?" It was incredibly ho hum for us. It was worth it for a walk on, but certainly not worth waiting for.

While my DS9 LOVES this ride, my DH and I can't stand it. The main reason. . . the ride jerks around so abruptly that our necks are KILLING us after we get off. (It didn't help that last time we were on the ride, the little drizzle we were experiencing turned into a powerful thunderstorm. While we were going up the first hill we heard the loudest clap of lighting and saw the brightest lightning bolt. We were scared about getting hit by the lighting the rest of the ride. Needless to say, they closed the ride down right away. . . but that experience didn't help us love it any more. :rotfl: )

We have yet to do this, but we will this time...

::MickeyMo Primeval Whirl can be a bit rough. We've gotten jostled quite a bit, but we go on it anyway. LoL. ::MinnieMo

On our last trip, AK was not crowded at all and we went on PW 12 times in a roll! It is pretty jerky, so I agree with other posters who say it can hurt your neck, but it is fun.

We have a ride called Timerland Twister up here in MN (in the Mall of America) that is similar. It spins around while it goes down. The spins are much faster than PW and the drops are steaper, so I think PW is pretty mild in comparison.
