Prime Time or Sci Fi?

Even though others have said the food in both is just ok, i want to try one of these. in your opinion, which has the better theme, atmosphere & food? TIA!

This won't help much but, we have never eaten anywhere in DH EXCEPT PTC!!! We love it there. The food is great, and the atmosphere is fun and light hearted. I reccommend the fried chicken, the PB&J Milkshake, and the smores for dessert. (I know, I know... a milkshake AND dessert....

OF COURSE

Someday I will trfy Sci Fi.... but I'm not sure when.

I think the food is better at Prime Time than Sci-Fi. Our service was better there, too.

I absolutely love 50's PTC. I have never been to Sci Fi, though. When we went to 50's in September my whole family loved our food. I had the pot roast and it was amazing. We had a blast there, too. Our waitress was great and we had a lot of fun with her. I'm planning on going back there for my next two trips.

Well the one and only time I ate at Sci fi I got very sick. I know this can probably happen anywhere however after returning home a number of us posted we got sick eating there. Never again for me! The atmosphere is really cool and the desserts were nice but steer clear if the shrimp pasta if you know whats good for you!

I've never complained about food at Disney until I ate at Sci-Fi... I had a chicken sandwich that I absolutely could not even bite into. Their appetizers were very good though, but I don't think we'll be back for quite a while...

We'll be trying PTC for the first time next trip FWIW

I think that 50's was probably our favourite spot to eat!

The entrees and desserts are better at 50PTC, milkshakes and atmosphere are better at Sci Fi.

Skip Sci- Fi unless you enjoy eating in front of the TV in the dark. The theme-ing is fun and makes for good pictures. The food was standard fare not horrible but not the best either. I would not go back. Also my 6 year old was not that entertained by the movies and we barely saw our waitress.

We really enjoyed out dinner ar Sci-Fi--Great Atmosphere--
Food was good--Server did a wonderful Job.
We were able to eat in peace. Loved eating in the cars
and the funny film clips.

Did not care at all for 50's Prime Time--because I want
to eat my Food and not be bothered by Someone who
is pretending to be your Cousin. Our Cousin was from another
country (I could hardly understand her heavy accent).
Because there were only 3 of us we were called and seated
at the same booth table as an annoying group also wanting to
pretend they were related to us. I just wanted to run out
of there screaming. I have enough annoying family members
I don't have to go to 50's Prime Time and pretend.
It's like being in the Twilight Zone for real. I guess if you like
that sort of thing--eat at 50's PT.

The food is better at Prime Time (got to get the pot roast and the s'mores) but the Sci Fi has a fun atmosphere.

I found the food at Sci Fi okay, especially if you stick to burgers, fries, milkshakes etc. The movies clips are fun although maybe after 20 years they could change them up a bit?

Prime Time is also atmospheric, but more so if you can go with the banter of your "cousin".

If I had to choose just one, I'd go for the better food at PTC.

This is hard, I think they are both so different!

We ALWAYS go to 50's PTC. The pot roast and herb cheese appy are fantastic. The atmosphere is so "Disney" and we love it.

I hadn't been to Sci Fi since I was in High School I think, but this September I went with my DH, and two kiddies and we LOVED it. We had onion rings and spinach dip (delicious) and I had the mushroom/swiss burger and DH had the ribs. We thought everything was very good. Our DD 4 was a bit scared of the movies, so he took her outside to calm down a bit. Other than that, I thought the food was great, the atmosphere fun, and the service very efficient.

This would be a hard choice for me. If you haven't been to either--go for 50's this trip & do Sci Fi next time.

WE like PT over sci fi....have had too many hit and miss experiences there. Always have had great service and food at PT.

We really enjoy both but Primetime is our absolute favorite WDW restaurant. The food is great and the right server can make it really fun too!

I dislike the schtick at Prime Time so I would vote for the Sci-Fi

I had to make the same decision for our December trip.

Sci Fi - it's a tradition for me to eat here every trip. The theming and atmosphere are probably the best in WDW. Food is good, not fine dining by any means.

50s PTC - Haven't eaten here yet. I've heard good things about it being "comfort food" and a fun atmosphere.

We decided to book a lunch ressie and pay for it OOP at Sci Fi and a dinner ressie at 50s. I wanted to try 50s but, like I said, Sci Fi is a tradition and I love it!
