Prime Time or Sci-Fi???

I thought Sci-Fi was good, but my family hated it; bad service, having to turn aroungd to talk and the cheesy movies that got played over and over. On the other hand, we loved the Prime Time cafe. The food was great, the service was fun and the atmosphere couldn't be beat. That's just our experience. I was kind of surprised that my family didn't like Sci-Fi, but they didn't.

Sci -Fi was okay and I am glad we did it once. The food was not that great. However I am looking forward to Prime Time in Jan.

Sci~fi is a must have for our family every trip! This trip coming up, we are going to both, since we have never tried 50's. My family just would not give up Sci~fi

I voted for 50's Prime Time. I was always nervous about going there because I did not want to get "yelled at" while I was on vacation. We went in April with friends and had a great time and we really enjoyed the food and the experience. I was a big fan of the chocolate shakes!!!

I think you have to be really outgoing to enjoy 50s. I have a client who dined there who hated it becuase he just wanted to eat, didn't want the chastisement of the waiter to get his elbows off the table for instance - a big scrooge so to speak!

50's is my vote though - totally fun, comfort food and I intentionally try to get "in trouble".

We really like Sci-Fi. We ate at Prime Time in June and the food was so bad for us. The other 3 in our party liked it but DH and I had the meatloaf and we couldn't even eat it. DH ate all of his because he didn't want to get in trouble. I just couldn't do it. With all the people saying how good Prime Time is maybe I can talk DH into trying it again and not getting the meatloaf. We did enjoy the atmosphere.

Sci Fi for lunch. We liked the food, but wouldn't eat there for dinner. It's just, for us, more "lunchy" type food. The atmosphere is pretty neat, too and the kids have a ball.

Prime Time for dinner. The food IS better than Sci Fi's, but we wouldn't eat here for lunch. They seem to excel at their dinners (not that their lunches are bad, per se), so that's when we would eat here. Their Fried Chicken is awesome, as is the pot roast. And the S'mores. Ye gods.....

there menu's look almost exactly the same (for 50's pt) for lunch and dinner, what makes dinner so much more special???

I say Prime-Time, and I've never even been there! It may just be me, but I could not stand not being able to even see my food at Sci-fi, and having to look at the back of DH and DD's heads. The outside waiting area is a complete dump too, although I guess I got to see a little more than average, as it took over 30 minutes for them to seat us. (with an ADR) Our waiter was great though, probably what kept me from walking out. (well, that and being really, really hungry!)

It's not that the food is better, it's that their menu, for us, is more dinner fare while the menu at Sci Fi is more lunch type fare. Your mileage may vary...

The pot roast, fried chicket, etc is more along the lines of what my family would choose to eat for dinner while the burgers, fries, and sandwiches at Sci Fi are more in line with what we would choose to eat for lunch. And since we ultimately like both......

Not only is the atmosphere WONDERFUL at 50s Prime Time Cafe but the food is 10 times better!!! Larger portions and more of a variety...just check out and compare the menus

I have to pick Prime Time because I wasn't very happy with my Sci Fi meal. I had to wonder if my sandwich was made by a food replicator!
