I am looking to experience one of these restaurants, maybe for lunch on my December trip.

Pick one! :goodvibes

Thanks,
penny

I like the Prime Time much better. We really get into the atmosphere and the CMs...I've been asked to take my elbows off the table more times than I care to admit. The Sci-Fi is OK. Everyone should go at least once, but IME the food is just fair. The clips on the screen are repeated pretty frequently and it actually gets a bit boring to me. The shakes are to die for, though.

Thats a hard choice. I picked SciFi because it doesn't matter which server you have, you will still have a good time at SciFi.

At Prime Time if you get a server that is not into his or her role it could be nothing special except the food and atmosphere, which is not bad, don't get me wrong. Getting a funny server really makes this place fun. :teeth:

definately prime time for food quality, the cheese plate is fab! as an app.

Prime time movie flics are horror ones and scared the bejesus outta local kids near our car, food was burgers(great onion rings tho) and the car was cute and different(cool cming into the dark at sunny noon!) but no question, def prime time for us, ME,DH DD3

We didn't care for the Prime Time, but always go to the Sci-Fi. We love the atmosphere.

I love the Sci-Fi for the atmosphere. I went to 50's once and hated it, i'm not the kind of person who wants to be in "the show" if you know what I mean.

Despite all the negative comments about the Sci Fi, we have loved it there.

We have only been for Lunch - for basic chicken sandwhiches, burgers etc. We have never been for dinner. Last year, my DS was in heaven with Onion Rings, BBQ Chicken Sandwhich, and a HUGE Sundae for dessert!

Definately Sci-Fi. Prime Time is the most annoying place to eat in WDW with that lame schtick. Sci-Fi has average food but its a lot of fun.

Sci Fi! The atomosphere was really cool and the food was good. I added pics to the food pic thread if you're intrested in looking. Have fun!

We love Prime Time, and are usually ready for some home-type food after several days of exotic eating in the World. I do agree a good server makes for a much better experience.

We enjoy the atmosphere in Sci-Fi, but it's definately not worth using a Table Service credit.

Sci Fi for lunch. We liked the food, but wouldn't eat there for dinner. It's just, for us, more "lunchy" type food. The atmosphere is pretty neat, too and the kids have a ball.

Prime Time for dinner. The food IS better than Sci Fi's, but we wouldn't eat here for lunch. They seem to excel at their dinners (not that their lunches are bad, per se), so that's when we would eat here. Their Fried Chicken is awesome, as is the pot roast. And the S'mores. Ye gods.....

Prime Time! I guess I just had a really bad experience at Sci-Fi (I'll have to give it another shot). Bad food, worse service, and DH and I had to sit in a car with unsupervised 10 year olds! At Prime Time we had good food, a fun (but not overly obnoxious) CM, and a great time!

Prime Time! Don't get me wrong, the kids loved Sci-Fi, but the food is just okay. We've done it the last 2 times and I'm itching to go back to Prime Time. I love the food, the 50's decor, and the fun servers.

50's Primetime Cafe is a must-dine for me on every trip!! :thumbsup2 Have always had great food and service here!!!

Sci-Fi is ok, but the food was nothing great.

Prime Time is a hoot, love the cheese fries!

The clips at Sci Fi are a chesse film addict's dream(awesome french fries!)

I love the Sci-FI! I know it gets negative reviews but it's definitely in my top 5 and I even went there for my bday this year.

We ate at the 50s prime time for the first time last time we went, 2 weeks ago, LOVED It, will go back again for sure. BUT we still want to try the SciFi as well, my 17 yr old keeps asking but I heard bad things, but that lunch was better than dinner there? Don't know, I know we were really pleased with 50s, so that would be my choice.
