Pride Merchandise

Was in DAK today and checked for pride merchandise in all of the shops. Nothing.

It's got me to wondering if Disney intentionally removed all the pride merchandise in light of the current political climate.

I'm still hoping they are waiting on fresh merch to release closer to June. There was some Pride merch in February, trading pins, a decent rainbow Mickey coffee mug, but no clothing.

I'm still hoping they are waiting on fresh merch to release closer to June. There was some Pride merch in February, trading pins, a decent rainbow Mickey coffee mug, but no clothing.

Certainly hope this is what is happening. Although it's too bad for those looking for something right now.

I hope that's not the case. From what I read, the "roll back of DEI" at Disney is more of changing wording than actual loosening standards.

Either way though, I thought DEI was really an employer/employee issue. Not something that affects how a company deals with customers.

Really not sure what it means but I hope it's not the case either! Disney is our happy and safe space ️

I think it is more a case of some conservative stockholder pushing a proposal to cut ties with HRC and and DEI on the upcoming stockholder proxy ballot. The company board of directors is clearly recommending a "NO" vote to this proposal.

Lost and found at Disney (WDW) has been great for us. Recent trip at end of February I managed to lose 3 things in about 24 hrs (good grief!) and got all of them back.

On Sunday afternoon I left my battery operated fan somewhere near hospitality house at Old Key West. Didn’t realize right away - that night I wanted it but figured it was in my car when I couldn’t locate it in the room. Next day didn’t find it in my car, nor was it in my mom’s car. After being at Magic Kingdom on Monday, I stopped by the front desk, described it, and someone went and looked and found it.

On Monday I realized I left my umbrella on the Peoplemover shortly after leaving the ride when I didn’t have it to place over my head. One of the cast members must have pulled it off the ride right away because it took just a few minutes to get it back.

Later we rode the standby line at Seven Dwarves, and I realized my magic band plus was missing. I was a bit upset because I had just purchased it that visit and it has Donald Duck on it. I asked at the end of the exit, and they said someone had found it and to wait.

Now, there’s also a big lost and found location at the ticket and transportation center. We’ve made a few visits there, but not recently. My wife’s Duffy bear has a Mickey Mouse outfit and she lost one of the gloves on Space Mountain and they had it at the TTC. And she lost her cell phone out of her pocket on the Tower of Terror, and it made its way to lost and found, too.

It really helps if you can tell them where and when you think you lost it. The cellphone she realized when she stood up but it actually was in the ride somewhere and not in the ride vehicle any longer. At the time we thought maybe she lost in the queue and called it several times … hopefully it didn’t freak anyone out! I’m not sure what the time frame is for moving things to the TTC instead of keeping the item near where it was found, but once we realized they find stuff (of course we followed up on the phone), we keep asking and have been pretty lucky.

I don't think that's in operation any more. At least not there. There is a police/security office where it used to be.

The dearth of pride merchandise continues. I visited the Emporium at MK and the Creation Shop at Epcot today. Essentially nothing pride related. I also checked a few resort shops and some smaller shops in the MK and Epcot. Wonder why they are not promoting this stuff.

There is a shirt available on Shop Disney, but I don't remember the stores having year-round displays. I could be wrong. Isn't it also a little early for Pride merch to be showing up?

My perception of time is all screwed up over the last few years, so I could be way off. (I am always in the market for Pride pins and tumblers, much to my husband's chagrin.)

I'm local and visit the parks a couple of times a week. I've noticed pride merchandise in the parks year round up until very recently. My (grown) L daughter is always happy to get some new Pride merchandise so I do specifically look for it.

Yes, it is a bit early for the traditional June event. Hopefully they will come through with some interesting stuff.

I wonder how effective the lost and found is. I've also lost sunglasses at the Grand Californian, filed report immediately and nothing. I have heard of people getting their stuff back, but I've never had that luck

My husband's prescription sunglasses fell out of our stroller years ago at Downtown Disney (in CA) and he filed a report. They were found either the same night or the next day (can't remember because this was back in 2017, I think.) We were honestly shocked that he got them back.

My husband's prescription sunglasses fell out of our stroller years ago at Downtown Disney (in CA) and he filed a report. They were found either the same night or the next day (can't remember because this was back in 2017, I think.) We were honestly shocked that he got them back.

I lost some Prada sunglasses at VGC and nada. Not really surprised they weren't turned in tho, they were really nice

My husband's sunglasses had clearly been tried on by someone. Since they were prescription, that's probably why they got turned in.

Well, it's a start. I wonder if there is a delay in delivery from China and Asian manufacturers, or they are slow to make it through customs. I hope they have nice selection of merch by June.
