I checked the Disney site early this morning for a price ($4500). I called a local TA late this afternoon and was quoted a price of $5500, same category, same dates, no transportation, no insurance. What's the rub? Do TA's get THAT much commission?

Something is wrong here. A TA is NEVER more than DCL. Are you sure the TA has the exact date and year? What TA gave you this quote?

I second using Allseasonstravel.com We have booked both our cruises this year thru them and not only have they given us excellent service but they have aggressive pricing and it is all listed on their website. You don't have to email for a quote or call for a quote, it is very user friendly.

I just checked allseastravel for a rate on a 3-day cruise for May 2005. Their price was about $34 higher than Expedia (not a lot, but I had heard they were lowest). Anyone know if Expedia is not including any of the fees or port charges?

Tammy, they may not be including all the fees....I just did a check on expedia for may 12th 3 nighter 2 people going in a cat 10 and then a cat 6 and Allseasons was less expensive not a whole lot but less.....plus the service you get from Allseasons is more personal then expedia.

You may also want to try Costco. Last time I checked their prices they were considerably less than all other quotes I received. ::yes::
