1)Does anyone know what week of the year the DCL is the least expensive historically?

2)I have read on this forum several times that Disney raises pricing the closer you get to actual cruising date...Do they ever offer last minute deals to fill up a boat?

Inquiring minds want to know...

have you checked out quotes at www.disneycruise.com?
you can price out from now till 2005 i think. with out any committment. i always book in advance to get the earlly bird savings.. and the price went down again for my august cruise . but it went back up. all you will need is the deposit then pay off 60 days out .
as for least cost sep -- nov but as i said you can compare on the site above hope this helps
:D

It is historically cheaper to travel during school periods. Sept - Nov (pre-holiday) because it is hurricane season and kids are in school or January and February (non-school vacation period).

Those periods seem to be the best time for prices. They price based on a tiered system for availability of rooms. The farther out you are the better your discount. I have not heard of the discounting to fill a boat. Most cruises are full I believe.

There is no ONE week that is best, just seasons. You can also check prices on www.allseastravel.com. September, November (not Turkey Day), early December and some of January are traditionally the least expensive. Any time school is out=expensive. DCL uses a tier system. As soon as a tier fills, the price goes up, which is why "early booking savings" can be erratic. As for last minute specials, occasionally they do offer them, but mostly they offer a Florida (or some other selected states) resident special to fill the ship. Never hurts to keep looking for specials though. Watch www.mousesavers.com for info on WDW & DCL or havea good TA to watch for you.
