I suppose this could go in a different forum but since It involves a cabin and I think this forum is so fun I will post here and await all the witty answers.
My question is if I am planning on staying through two rate "seasons" will I be charged the rate of the first "season" the whole stay?
I want to arrive after Thanksgiving and if I check in Saturday it is a different rate than if I wait till Sunday. Would I have to make two reservations to ensure the cheapest rates? Would this mean the possibility of having to switch cabins? And lastly if I wanted to book two cabins would I be able to get them next to each other or at least in the same loop? I think I have read somewhere that there is an option to link the reservations. I

No. Disney updated their reservations system, last year I think, and your rate will change as the rate season changes and they have also implemented weekend rates and the like.

This is true no matter where you stay at Disney.

I don't think so anymore. I think since the rates now change on the weekends, it will be broken down by date and season. In Jan. 08 we paid one rate for the whole time but the season did change but our start date was during the value so that is all we paid. In Nov. 08 that was not the case. The rate changed on the weekend and for the season.

Sunday-Thursday is cheaper than Friday and Saturday, I believe. If I am wrong someone will correct me!;)

No, I wouldn't think so. We have never had to move unless the type of campsite changed. All the cabins are the same I believe.

I don't know if it is like the campsites, but if so, they will tell you that they will note it on your ressies and then you should send an email to FW 5 days before you leave.

I think I have read somewhere that there is an option to link the reservations. I

Hope that helps!:)

I promise I am really not this needy. Let me throw a situation at you and see what you think. Say I wanted to rent from campatthefort and get a cabin. What cabin loop and preferred loop are closest? And again would a request for the end cabin in the one loop and the end site in the other be a doable request? Assuming I follow the suggestion of TheFlame of course.

You would need to book a Premium Campsite and a cabin and request Loop 1100 for the campsite and Loop 2100 for the cabin.

There are no preferred Loops near the cabin loops.

(Exception, there are two cabins in Loop 100, BUT it is VERY rare that a guest is assigned one of these cabins. They are not in normal guest inventory, and only assigned on rare occasions.)

Barely an hour since my first post and answers to all of my questions. Thank you clkelley. I have read TCD's cabin report so I am fully aware of all that is the 100 cabins. I would not expect a normal soul like myself to qualify for such treatment.

I just wanted to add that if you have Microsoft Excel I have designed a handy-dandy Rate Calculator (click me) that takes seasons and weekends into account. It will calculate the price for every camping site type, cabins and even CampAtTheFort based on the dates you plug in. You might find it useful.

Thanks Shan-man. That does make it easier to compare and will make it simple to explain to the others involved in the trip.

I'm delighted it was useful for you!
