Pricing question for a POSSIBLE 4/3 deal....

DH made the comment we might be able to swing a Disney trip over Spring Break next year. A quick comment is all I need to start the plans rolling.

The only way I'd be able to convince him, is if we got a great deal. Last year they had the buy 4 nights, get 3 nights free deal.
If I was to play around with numbers, is it safe to think that pricing out a package for 4 nights, with tickets for 4 days would be the price of the 4/3 deal?? (only paying for 4 nights and 4 days of tickets, we'd get 3 more nights and 3 more days of tickets free)

Or do they make you pay taxes on the free nights/tickets?

I hope I explained this ok. I'm trying to budget what a trip would cost IF that plan came out again.

Hi - I stayed with the buy 4/get 3 last year and I think we paid around $1600-$1700 for 8 days/7nights. That included dining and park hoppers and that was at a value resort. 2 adults and 1 junior. Don't quote me on that, but I think it was around that rate. We thought it was a good deal!

I did the 4/3 deal last January (2 adults) and the cost for 7 nights was the same as if I had booked 4 nights without the deal. There was no tax on the free nights or the extra days on the tickets.

As an added bonus, we also got a $100 gift card. It wasn't the same as the current merchandise GC. It was a regular Disney Gift Card like you would purchase from disneyshopping.com or at a Disney Store.

How did you get a gift card too?? I remember hearing about the 4/3 deal of course, but I don't remember the gift card too!!

The gift card was part of the 4/3 promo but only for specific dates. I was there from 1/4-1/11/09, which was the very beginning of the promotion.

I had also gotten a 4/3 PIN code in my email back in April which was good for dates in the late fall. That promo included a $200 GC! Too bad I can't be away for a whole week while DS is in school.
