Hi, my name is Crystal I am new to the boards. I have been thinking about htis for sometime and since many of you are in the planning process or have been through it I have some questions:

Just a little about me:

I am 23 and from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I have been with my fiance for 8 years and engaged for 3 years.

Questions:

I looked on the Disney Website and saw the prices but for about a guest list of 20 people, in all, how much did you end up spending?

This would be a destination wedding...how did you decide who to invite and how much was the cost a factor? Were the guests expected to pay their own way? Did they go to the parks, did they pay, etc?

Are weekday weddings cheaper?

I'm sure I will have more questions but this is a start. Any tips to start would be awesome.

Thanks,

Crystal

Hey Crystal...welcome! I have family in Louisiana as well. How much you spend determines on one key thing. Are you looking for an intimate wedding, or a custom. The intimate is pretty standard, although you can upgrade a few items. I believe it is now at 20 people which includes you and your fiancee. The custom is just what it says, you get to personalize everything. The custom wedding has the mins and the pricing really varies by what you choose. Let us know which way you want to go and then we can help you!

If choosing an intimate you can only have 18 guests at the ceremony. They're not flexible at all with this. It's a difficult thing to deciding who to invite. We decided to go just with parents, siblings, and grandparents. We're under the 18 guests, but we felt if we invited anyone else, then people may start to get offended. But just go by who you are closest to. It's intimate because it's supposed to be the people you're closest to.

Part of our party is renting a house and splitting the cost of that, so we don't feel we have to pay for that since the cost is much less than hotel rooms would be.

Any park tickets or anything else they want to do, we're not paying for. It's a nice little vacation for our guests.

We're not looking to spend much more than what the package includes. We chose Sea Breeze Point which is $2950 for the package. There are additional items you can add such as upgraded cake, photography, videography, and additional flowers.
