At about 7:45 I looked to modify my existing 2010 reservation made on board (to get the 10% discount) to the 8/23 Alaska. Looking at 10A I saw that 5524 (secret porthole) was available for $4042 (2A2K). When I tried to update to 5520 I lost the room and no other SPH were available. So, I booked the least expensive outside for about $600 more. Ugh.

I kept trying to modify, looking for a SPH to re-appear. At 8:24 it happened and I was able to get 5524 (again). Whew.

PC, 2A, 11B, includes insurance, no transfers or air, $4844.00
WB 2011, 2A, 11B, includes insurance, transfers and air, $6734.00

That was quick and painless on the website. We even got the rooms we wanted! The airfare is insane. It's twice what we were holding for the 2010 WB. I'll probably cancel the air, but was afraid to make any changes today.

had dvc on the phone the same time i was booking this for the first alaska i think it was 346 points for the two of us cant find where i wrote it down for 11 a also.

Well....I woke up this am with hopeful thoughts that I would be able to book our 1st PC cruise with Disney ...but not for the price of $8,200 dollars just 2 adults for a verandah!!! That doesn't even include airfare! That is just outrageous!! I am very disappointed in the prices. You can do 2 cruises with Royal Carribean or another cruise line for that amount of money. You might not get the same service but in this economy you just cant afford it. Well maybe next time
