Are prices at the Downtown Disney Disney store (or even prices at the park gift shops) the same as purchasing it online from their website? I was just looking on ebay and disney store's website to purchase my daughters some Minnie Mouse ears. Just curious if they jack the price up at the parks or if it is the same.

My husband was at Downtown Disney at Disneyland for a convention looking for something to get the girls before we go to Disney World and he couldn't believe the prices for a t-shirt! Instead of getting them there I went to Childrens Place and got a Tinkerbell and Minnie Mouse t-shirts for them for $8! woohoo!

We planning on getting them the princess gowns there, but would love to save a few bucks on some of these other items beforehand!
Thanks for any advice!!:)

If the item is available on the Disney Parks section of the The Disney Store website, then its the same price. There may be different items available in the rest of the Disney Store website or in the actual Disney Store that are similar, but at different prices. Do keep in mind that the parks are actually starting to carry some of the same merch from the Disney Store. It will be the same price however. I know the costumes are oft debated on here, but I don't have enough experience to know.

My opinion just from the items I looked at at DTD's Disney Store is they are priced higher. If you went on the Disney Store website you can try and purchase with a coupon code. I bought my husband Mickey Ears from the site and got free shipping and had a 20% off. But specials and promo codes change often so I'm not sure what the current deals are.

Thanks for the replies! This is my thinking too. I know were are going to purchase some items while there, but if I can buy a few of these things ahead of time for less, that would be great. Thanks for the advice!

No problem! :) If you have a Disney Store in a mall that's local to you, you can go there to purchase some things as well. I bought a couple of mugs from my Disney Store, they were having a sale and the mugs were about $6 each. And I used my Disney visa and got 10% off b/c I spent $50. And I remembered looking out for those mugs at DTD just to price compare and they were in fact more expensive there..I was glad I bought them at my local mall.

That is a great idea as well! We will be passing some outlet stores on our trip down, so I need to check and see if they have Disney stores at any of them. The girls would love to be able to stop there on our way and pick up some items!
Thanks again! :)
