Priceline????

Has anyone ever booked a flight or car rental through priceline???? I have used them for hotels but for nothing else. Thinking of using then possibly but am a little leary. Going to both Chicago and Orlando this spring and trying to save a little money. I can get a cheaper flight to Chicago on priceline than I can on Southwest at the moment.

unless they've changed their system you have to start your trip in the states.

i've never used them but a friend used them when they first started years ago to fly from LA to TORONTO. he got a really great price. didn't hear it went bad but maybe someone has a more recent experience.

Car rentals have been very good through Priceline, but I've never took the chance with booking a flight (I could go through Seattle). I like to control my flight times a little more than their system would allow. With car rentals and hotel rooms however you have a much better idea of what your end result will be.

Have you checked out hotwire.com ? They allow flights originating in Canada (though I have never used them for this, only hotels). I was just searching flights from Halifax for this summer and it came back with $349.00 (including taxes). Normally flights from here would be over $600.00. Again, it is like priceline in that you don't know which flight you will get until you pay, but does say it will either be nonstop or 1 connection.
