Anyone have any experiences with naming your own price for airfare on Priceline.com?? Good or bad - I will take any experiences.

Thanks in advance!!

I've used Priceline for airfare probably a dozen times, flying from Manchester NH, Boston, Bangor ME, Harrisburg PA, all going to Orlando. I've never had any problems, even though there might have been a weather delay, equipment problem, or overbooking. I usually end up paying 50%-75% of the published airfare, depending on location and season. What seems to be standard, though, is you will fly TO your destination on the last flight of the day and home FROM your destination on the earliest flight, so don't expect to vacation on your travel days. The best way to book a flight is to look at all the flights going from your local airports to your destination. Check prices, plane sizes, flight times, so you know what to bid and what you're willing to accept. Go to biddingfortravel.com for lots of insight on how to bid on Priceline.

I got my ttickets for our September trip in April. They were about 40 dollars cheaper then the going rate at the time. Just this morning I checked American website and they were about 25 dollars cheaper then what we paid. I called them and they are going to refund the different, their policy is they are the lowest price. We do fly out the last flight that gets us to Orlando before midnight and the first flight out in the morning. I just added a night by booking a room only for the first night. We have free dining so the last night is still on the package. So we will be there 15 night and 14 full days. Good luck
