Who has done Priceline for WDW? If I were to bid say $75, what would I get in the WDW area? Just curious as to what some of the options are. I wouldn't think anything onsite comes up, but something close by?

I've done priceline many times, but only twice in the Orlando area. We bid a 3* in the WDW area and got the Sheraton Safari for $37/nt. Then we bid a 2.5* in the WDW area and got the Nikki Bird-Holiday Inn for $25/nt. This was in 2004 though.

I'd have to recommend the websites of www.biddingfortravel. and www.betterbidding.com for a resource. They have a lot of great info to help you pinpoint which hotels are in what categories and area's.

I checked out your first site but their list didn't seem very long for hotels that have been won near WDW. The individual posts people made seemed better. I would kinda like to get the one at the airport for the first night, and do a different one the second night closer to WDW, although I know you can't pick what you get. It would be nice though! From one point of view I'd like to go cheap, from another I'd like to maybe get a really nice hotel....hmmmmm decisions.....Too bad I can't get one at WDW!!!..lol

There are SO many good deals to be had in Orlando that I personally wouldn't risk priceline since there are many hotels I would never stay at in Orlando on Priceline. You could stay at OKW renting points for about $80/night on site (not on weekends), and many beautiful 2BR timeshares for under $500 week. Just my two cents.

hi,
can you tell me the names of these 2br timeshares for under $500. we are looking for a place for feb 3-10 in that price range and so far have not had much luck.. does anybody know if this is a real busy time or will the deals come as it gets closer. i am getting nervous about not yet having a place to stay.
thanks
kim

Not sure about those exact dates, but check ebay for "cypress pointe" and also skyauction which has Vistana and Cypress Pointe. eBay is where I always have great luck, often finding Marriott's in that same range.

I would LOVE to rent DVC points, but we won't fit in a studio because we're a family of 5. I'm not willing to pay as much as it would cost for a one or two bedroom. We already have a timeshare booked, so this is just to add on two nights at the beginning of our trip. This is all of course if airfare stays the same next year as it is now where it's tons cheaper to fly Wed instead of Friday... I'm just trying to have my bases covered on my budget.
