Priceline rental car companies

Am thinking of maybe trying Priceline for a rental car in Tampa when we go to St Petersburg in August.

Has anyone used priceline for rental cars in Tampa?

Am curious which car rental companies priceline uses.

Priceline uses the majors Hertz, Avis, National, Budget and Alamo (I think Dollar, not 100% sure on that one) Make sure you know what the the best deal you can get without them is, I have normally not found that they accept bids low enough for me to deal with the risk of getting Alamo. (I despise Alamo LOL!)
