We are going to be in Savannah next week for a Science Bowl meet. I'm toying with idea of using Priceline for our hotel. I know the rates are for double occupancy, but has anyone had more than two people in the party when using Priceline? I'd hate to bid, have it accpeted, and only have one king size bed. I've never used Priceline, but since this is a short trip I thought I might give it a try. I'd love to have a hotel in the historic district, but I'd have to win a bid on that. Otherwise, I'll just use Expedia and book the exact hotel I want. I'd like to hear anyone's experience with naming your own price on Priceline.

Thanks

that is a risk that you ALWAYS run with Priceline and more than two people.

Most hotels in the US have a majority of their rooms set up with 2 double beds - so usually their is no problem getting a room with 2 double beds. However, there is always a risk. Occassionaly (ie me at a certain Fairfield in Bloomington IL,) you will get a desk clerk on a power trip that seems almost angry at the Priceline rate and will stick you in a room with one bed just because they can.

Have you tried Hotwire? They have changed now where you can search for a room for more than two people and their rates are usually about 15% lower than the other sites.
