Priceline - Maine

Just though I would share my Feb reservation I made on Priceline. Driving back from Manchester on Feb 23rd and need 2 rooms for the family in Portland. I was playing around bidding on different combinations until I tried $35 for a 2 star in Portland for 2 rooms. Got the HoJo ... I have stayed here before and its okay .. nothing fancy but together with taxes, both rooms cost about $80.

In unrelated travel, I have scored a 4 star in Providence RI in late June for 60 plus tax and another 4 star in Phoenix AZ the next night for 45 plus taxes.

That is a great price for Portland, we have gotten the Marriott, Residence Inn, Townplace suites, but always had to pay more. I always found Maine to be hard to Priceline. Only ever got Bangor once. always got good rates in Orlando.

I've been trying for Bangor for weeks now and am up to $69 for a 3 star .. no luck yet. I think I may jump to hotwire for that date ...
