Priceline for car rental?

Anyone use Priceline for car rentals? How did it go? What company did you get? What was your price? For how long? Any and all info appreicated! Thanks!!

Check out betterbidding.com their forums are great for telling you how to bid on cars or hotels on priceline or hotwire

We got a compact car last April for $20. daily. It was booked with Avis, no problems, except that the car we had seemed like it had a bump on one tire. It was late at night so the next moring we called and within a half an hour we had a nother car delivered to our hotel. This was the second time we used PL for car rental with no problems. We plan on using them againn next year. We don't need a large car with just the two of us, just a means to get from point A to point B.

we used priceline years ago and got an alamo car when they were off airport - economy for $11 day. Haven't seen anything that low since. You can also check out www.biddingfortravel.com for winning bid information.
Anyway, I'd suggest looking for codes and trying the rental companies. I just reserved a full size through budget for a week in Nov for $147 incl all fees. In my mind, I would have to get a full size for $18 or less to beat that. And when we rent not through priceline, we make sure we get a place that doens't charge for extra drivers (spouse)
