Interesting, I can’t think of anything else besides the external booking that would not allow you to check out in the app.Yes did online check in and went straight to my room via magic band.
There were some very good ones in Sept (and some are still out there for this last week of the month) with Values down in the $70s and $80s on some days. Some Coronados in the $145-$170 range and some GF and AK deals. How have priceline / HW deals look nowdays? Fond memories of Allstar music for 2 rooms connecting for $58 each, or AKL savannah view for $275
For Priceline: https://c3acv367.caspio.com/dp/a6b6c000276612e50f7b4f49b7fbAre there any current Hotwire/Priceline tools still being run....and if so does anyone have a current link? I found one link early upthread but it seems to be a bad link. Thanks!
I haven't seen anything at all for the holidays.I know that this anybody's guess, but what is everyone’s guess on holiday deals? I’m debating just doing a night or two in November/December to take in the Christmas festivities but definitely making it as budget friendly as possible.
I can stay off site but I’m hoping for an on site deal instead![]()
I would have expected to have seen deals drop for the holidays already if they were going to appear - but then again, Priceline has surprised me so many times, you never know.I know that this anybody's guess, but what is everyone’s guess on holiday deals? And a few “deals” that I saw were actually more money than booking direct with Disney.I would have expected to have seen deals drop for the holidays already if they were going to appear - but then again, Priceline has surprised me so many times, you never know.
You may have noticed that there actually ARE hidden Disney resort deals out there in the coming weeks, but they are all something like $2-$5 less than the non-hidden listings. So, not in any way worth booking -but it is curious. They started appearing several weeks ago and I suspected it was a set up for a new drop, but: nope. Just these terrible non-deals.
My best PL deal I paid $79/night at Swan one time for 4 nights. Good old days! It's so sad not seeing the great deals of the past. We booked stellar deals at the Dolphin, Boardwalk and Animal Kingdom Lodge. They were so good, in fact, that they were 2 week trips and we paid less than the moderate hotels at the same time period.
Thanks for all your hard work!!Hi Everyone - Just wanted to point out that my Resort lookup tool has a new home.
I had been using the free tier of the Caspio service to host this tool and a dedicated DVC Rental Search engine. It wasn't exactly pretty, but it worked and I didn't have time to make it more better.
But Caspio changed their tier structure and the free one went away, so I started moving both over to a self-hosted site now.
Both tools are up and running now - I still need to pretty up the web site and for the DVC rental search engine I plan to add more information like historical charts and analysis, which I'm sure at least some of you may have seen me post in TP forums etc.
I may put that advanced analysis information behind a Patreon to try to see if I can recover hosting and software costs, but the search tools will remain out front and free most likely just as they are and should help people scope out interesting deals more easily than multiple searches.
I've gathered data on those DVC listings for the last 3+ years so have a nice database to crunch the numbers on median prices for all resort and room types, dates, how far out they tend to appear etc.
So, if you use either of my tools already, you may want to update your bookmarks to:
