Priceline Express Deals

I'm looking for Coronado Springs in mid-April and not seeing anything. Is it too early?
Priceline pulled its Disney inventory a few days ago. Maybe it'll be back in a few days. Or not. Not too early to stalk Hotwire daily.

So what's the deal with Priceline express deals showing as sold out or 'not available' once you choose them on the app/website? Looking at a hotel in the last 2 weeks of April that I believe is Pop or one of the All-Stars but it never lets me proceed using any date combination.

Anyone with a family of 5 ever have luck on Priceline or Hotwire? We are a family of 4, so it’s not an issue for us, but I was just chatting with a friend who was hesitant to use either site because they need an extra bed.

That has happened a lot over the years. They'll drop blocks of deals into results that will be ghosts that don't really exist. Just have to shrug and keep hoping they turn into actual deals at some point, but they don't always do.

I know some people have mentioned trying with Hotwire when it was a resort they thought had a lot of 5th sleepers, but personally I wouldn't try if I had to book for 5. Especially on Priceline, where they tell you they only guarantee 2, even though we know the vast majority of Disney rooms sleep 4. counting on room for 5 is too much of a risk to me.

I'd be more inclined to try to book 2 really good value resort deal rooms and request connecting rooms.

Hi all, Just wanted to bring up a topic I've warned about before - when Priceline Express deals give you the "Last person got X resort!" clue, I highly suggest you ignore it.

On PE, if the hidden deal is for a non-Disney resort, there's a decent chance the clue is good, but not 100%. If the deal is for a Disney resort and you see that clue, you can pretty much count on it being wrong.

I hadn't surveyed as many of those clues on Hotwire, but suspected they aren't very accurate either.
Someone this morning asked for help on this deal below - even though the clue mentions Caribbean Beach, it is 100% NOT that resort. CBR has a 4.0-guest rating.
The only 3.5* 4.4-guest resort in BC right now is Silver Lake Resort.

I am pretty sure it's been mentioned here before but for anyone who has missed it, on HW if you get a hot rate, you can add days on either end of your stay (and if I understood correctly NOT both - maybe someone could please clarify if they know?)

Feels like a million years ago now (lol) but we were scheduled to be in Orlando from 2/18-2/27 and renting a house with family from 2/19-2/27. I wanted to be at WDW for one night until family arrived the next day. Had booked a Hot Rate on HW for around $125 for the one night and got Pop.

Then that big storm came in that affected so many states and I just knew, being in DC where we don't know how to handle snow of any kind lol, would affect my flight. I was able to book a last-minute flight on Frontier for $39 one way (+suitcase carry-on) and quickly added 2 nights on my HW reservation to arrive that night. That was a good call since my original flight was indeed canceled.

It was two different Pop reservation numbers that I had to link into MDE after adding the 2 days to my Hotwire reservation, but the stay all went so smoothly. I booked the room around 1 p.m. for a 6 p.m. arrival and we went straight to our room. We also didn't have to change rooms.

Just wanted to mention it in case anyone gets a great rate and wants to add a day or two. I'm not sure if it always gives the same exact price though. My extra 2 days were both at the original price I booked ($125). I'm relatively certain HW had Pop for the 2 add'l days I wanted at $99 if I booked blindly again, but I was in too much of a rush to gamble it.

Good idea! Is this something you can do on the website/app or by calling?

I downloaded the app for this one (because the price was slightly lower than the website ;)), and did it right in there. Pretty easy and super helpful in a situation when you need to change plans on a whim.

Hotwire - 4.2 rating, 3 stars. "Clue" said last person got Pop but I knew it was going to be Movies.
$20 off code brought my 6 night stay down to $682. Confirmation said 'deluxe room.' LOL.

Disney website showed discounted standard rooms are sold out for my week so I booked this after kicking it around for weeks. I just linked my reservation and I was given a preferred room! $275 less than an AP rate and 50% off rack. Very pleased. I assumed that with only preferred rooms left at a discount, they would upgrade someone else and give me a parking lot view in the love bug section.

Congrats! When do you go?
I've done Priceline and gotten Movies and also was given preferred. In MDE I was able to choose my preferred section as well (I forget what other options they offer?)

We check in on the 22nd - their reopening date. Hopefully it will stay on schedule.
So soon! :) I hope all goes well!
If they don't open though, you should get moved to another resort if you're Ok with that. When Movies didn't open last November, I was offered the choice of Pop or AoA, but I've also read some have been moved to Coronado.

You can also do it on PL. At least on our May reservation for last year we could add a day and even a room to our PLE reservation.

Just got Pop on Hotwire for 1 night in April (9-10) we decided to arrive 1 night early to take advantage of a full day Saturday. The Disney rate for the night (with the current offer) would've been $241 with tax and with Hotwire hidden deal with promo we got it for $134 with taxes and fees. So pleased! Any tips on a split stay? We'll be at Pop the 1 night and then Beach Club Villas by renting DVC points for 5 nights.

We do split stays a lot. Will you have a car?
What I like to do is pack everything we need for the night(s) consolidated into one or two bag/suitcases depending on how long the split stay is (there are usually four of us, so four suitcases generally). Makes it easier to bring in only what we need rather than digging around for what we need. If we have a car, the rest of the stuff just stays in the trunk until we move hotels. If we don't have a car, then we just set those suitcases off to the side for our second half of the stay.
