Priceline Express Deals

Is there a particular page that I can read in this thread to start learning how to spot a Disney hotel on Priceline or Hotwire? Or would anyone like to take the time to give me a quick rundown? Thanks so much!

On Priceline's home page:

Save $20 on Your Next Hotel!
Coupon code SPRING20 valid for $20 off a minimum $100 Express Deal hotel purchase, excluding taxes and fees, which includes a minimum of a two-night stay. Travel anytime in 2020. Express Deal - Exact hotel revealed only after booking. All sales final. See full terms below.

Also, I noticed WDW inventory (transparent booking, haven't looked for PLE yet) is starting to pop up for mid-May

@Nicolemarie85 I'm not an expert, but the last hotel I'm fairly certain isn't AoA. It's not Bonnet Creek and it's 3.5 stars, AoA is a 3-star and LM rooms are going for much higher than the "regular" price listed as far as I've seen.

The other two look like Swan and Dolphin to me, but someone else I am sure will know :).
What are your dates?

Please help me confirm.....is this Dolphin on revealhotels.com. (Hotwire linked deal)
$140 Per Room Per Night

This hotel charges a resort fee of USD34.00 per night

Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek
Amenities : Resort, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, and more...
(85% recommended)

Overall Satisfaction 4.1
Condition of Hotel 4.2
Quality of service 4.2
Room Comfort 4.2
Room Cleanliness 4.2

Bed choice 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed

Thanks!!!

Is $157 a good rate for the Dolphin, or should I hold out for a better deal. Currently booked at Pop.

Hotwire becoming hard to figure out. I'm looking at a last second book for 3/18-3/20

There's a 3.5* resort for $232. There's no resort fee attached to it. And that's about all the info I get.

It says it's .7 miles from HS and .5 miles from Bilzard Beach

Better Bidding didn't have an idea either

Is 10 days enough time to book on Hotwire and get it added to MDE before cancelling our existing reservation with Disney? I've seen the trouble with adding kids to the reservation, so I would be including our child when booking with HW.

Thanks!

I've booked DME a day or two before travel, so that should be fine. You might need to make a phone call to DME to be sure.

It could be CSR with your location details. I booked at the last second with the Hot Rate below and received CSR.478478

CBR? It's 3.5 stars, close to HS, and Expedia rating is 4.
Edit: or CSR, that one has Expedia of 4.1 so that would be something to check.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a deal at the Dolphin through Priceline. Can anyone tell me how I would add my 3 children to that reservation?

Thank you! Didn't even think of CSR. I knew it most likely wasn't AoA or anything on the boardwalk. Was racking my brain what it could have been lol

If it was CBR, probably would jump on it. But may jump on the Swan or Dolphin at 139.

I really would recommend going back 30-50 pages and take the time to read it. You will get more comfortable that way.
Also, several people have created spreadsheets that are scattered throughout the threads that will help also. I dont know exactly what page they are on.

I submitted this over the weekend to the Disney help website just trying to get guidance and got the response below:

Hello,
I recently found out that the Disney wholesale department will no longer add guests to 3rd party reservations. I was told by the cast member I spoke to on the phone that this has always been the policy, but is now being enforced.
The 3rd party affiliates, Priceline, Hotwire, etc. all have in their terms of service that the hotel must add guest names to reservations.
Taken from the Priceline website:
"How can I add a Name to my Reservation?
Please contact your confirmed hotel to make note of the additional name on the reservation."
https://www.priceline.com/help-page/submenu/81/91/can-i-cancel-or-change-my-hotel-reservation
My question is:
What remedy does the guest have to add additional people to the reservation, if it is within the occupancy of the room?
Has Disney provided guidance to 3rd party affiliates of this change?
Does the person who's name the reservation is in just show up to the resort and add the additional people there?
How would the additional people take advantage of Disneys Magical express, dining plans, fastpasses, and all other things that are linked to My Disney Experience?
I do not have a pending reservation, but there are a lot of confused people that do.
Thanks for any insight.

Dear Josh,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort!

In order to add names to an existing reservation that has been booked through a third party, you will need to call that company directly to have the reservation updated to include the names of any additional guests you want to add to that reservation. Third party companies are aware of this policy. Once the names have been added to the reservation, that third party company will then resend the updated reservation details to our wholesale team who will update the reservation on our side.

The only way for a guest to take advantage of different package components (Disney's Magical express, dining plans, fastpasses, etc) is for their names to be booked on a reservation that is booked with Walt Disney World®, whether booked through Disney directly or booked through a third party.

If you have any other questions or challenges, please do not hesitate to contact us by calling us at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) or by chatting with us in the Help Center of the Walt Disney World® website (only available on the US site). Cast Members will be happy to assist you further.

Sincerely,

eCommerce Sales and Service Team

PLEASE NOTE: All information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to your visit.

Followed up with an additional e-mail. The response states that you can use DME without the guest being on the reservation. Might be a little bit of a PITA, but worth it for sure.
EDIT: I'm not sure how you'd call the resort, but it would be worth looking into ahead of time.

Trinsey,
Thank you for the response, but both Priceline and Hotwire have informed me that this simply is not the case. They are refusing to add additional guests.
Disney wholesale is telling people to contact the 3rd party, and the 3rd party is telling them to contact Disney.

Those with pending reservations are unable to use the Magical Express, dining plans, etc.

What are we to do if Disney says contact Priceline, and Priceline says contact Disney?

Thanks

Dear Josh,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We do apologize for all of the confusion.

When a Guest books a room through a third party, we don't have access to those reservations to modify them and add additional Guests until check in.

The additional Guest can use Disney's Magical Express® as long as the lead Guest calls the Walt Disney World® Resort upon landing at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and adds the Guests at that time. The new Guest will have the same components the other Guests already booked. I.e. Disney Dining Plan, Theme Park Tickets, etc.

If you have any other questions or challenges, please do not hesitate to contact us by calling us at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) or by chatting with us in the Help Center of the Walt Disney World® website (only available on the US site). Cast Members will be happy to assist you further.

Sincerely,
