Priceline Express Deals

How close to the date do you feel comfortable doing a deal on Priceline? Sounds like it can take several days to get into the hotel system.

I have 3 different express reservations. Two are for AKL Jambo, which are DVC. Those reservations took several days to be able to be linked in MDE. The third is for POFQ. That was able to be linked in MDE almost immediately. There must be something different with the DVC that takes longer to get into the system?

Does anyone have a 10% coupon for use right now? The one I have just expired and of course now I need it. Thanks in advance if you can help.

Hi Everyone

Just looking at PL and when I do a search for "walt disney world" and select either the "Bonnet creek area" or "disney springs" I can find a 5-star resort with "Airport shuttle" amenities. According to page 1 there this should be a give away that its a Disney resort.

Any other hits of what to look for to be more specific about the resort?

Also I tried to look at HW and could not find any hotel in the same areas with the "airport shuttle" amenities.

TIA

What dates are you searching? Have you tried hotel canary?

The last few days I’ve found -0- Disney properties on PL. Was originally searching for 1st week in July and then 1st week in September. *Hopefully* they are gearing up for some sort of discounted pricing?

I can only find the express deals which should indicate that the resort is a disney resort as it had the "airport shuttle" listed. But I can no other indications of which resort are listed.

That 5 star is likely the Waldorf - that is what Hotel Canary says. The Waldorf often comes up on PLE. I don't think there are any 5 star Disney hotels. There are many tips to figure out what the hotel is. One is to use Hotel Canary. Others include looking at: what the fees are, how much the discount is from the transparent PL booking, the rating, the number of reviews, and all the amenities. John J Tiierney, who I think posts here sometimes, has good tips on his geneology site and in touring plans blog where he explains the tips for figuring out a PLE deal. He also has a handy tool for searching for them. There are many great tips here in this thread too of course.

I didn’t see any veiled property listings either (other than 1 that indicated it was sold out).

Going OT for a moment; Pepperandchips, you are my DW superstar! You always are so helpful and I love reading your trip reports-thank you🧚🏼‍♀️

Howdy - "Airport Shuttle" has not been an amenity that helps tell you a PE deal is Disney for awhile; Priceline has changed things up several times now.
If you see "Free Internet Access, Swimming Pool, Restaurant" in that order on a deal in search results, you have a good likelihood it is Disney.
When you click on that deal, you'll also notice a 4th amenity - they split pool into 2 amenities on the actual deal page.

I haven't checked this morning beyond a day or two, but Disney resorts still don't seem to be back on PE right now.
They haven't been releasing Disney PE deals out further than 6 or so weeks lately, so your dates are pretty far out. BUT, in the past they have released distant deals a few times, so definitely worth it to keep checking at least once in awhile.

When they do come back, as Louie7080 said, check out Hotel Canary to help steer you. and yep there are some blog posts out on the Internetz with step by steps and other tips on figuring things out. ;)

Thanks everyone, i'll install hotel canary and get an eye out for Disney reservations when we get a bit closer to my dates.

Yeah, I've noticed that too... Disney has disappeared from PL, over the last couple of days. I'm also hoping that this means that they are getting ready to dump some sort of new discounted pricing.

But... this is why we booked a room through Disney... better safe than sorry.

Also, notice whether or not there are Additiional Mandatory Fees:
Total Priceline Charges$1,402.45
Additional Mandatory Fee*$315.00
Swan and Dolphin do have resort fees but other WDW onsite resorts do not----yet.

they disappeared over the weekend .... right as I was ready to pull the trigger on FQ June 30-Jul 3. I'm checking daily in the hopes that WDW resorts return.

When these deals are released are they typically easier to get for short stays or by breaking up a longer stay into shorter stays? I don’t see anyone reporting that they got a certain resort for a 7 or 10 day stay for example . Just curious. :)
