Priceline car rental price

Do you know if you can login to priceline with a different email address and bid sooner than 24hrs. What info do they track for same user?

I tried last night for a mini van for 17 for 10 days and was rejected (agian)

I booked a full size with dollar with one of their "specials" for 15 % off a florida rental. It came to 280 with taxes and everything. this was a better rate than using the ooag.

I still may keep trying for a minivan.

My full size is a charger or similiar, how many large bags do you think we can get into a full size trunk? I checked online and the new chargers have 16.2 cubic feet space. Im thinking at least 4 and maybe some smaller carry ons.

This post is a great example of why it's a good idea to keep checking if price is important to you. In our case, the OOAG was about $100 cheaper than the 15% off was (for the same full size car). :confused3

Sometimes I wonder how the rental car agencies even keep the rates straight themselves! :lmao:

Our dates were May 8 - May 17th.
Standard Car rental car
$11.00 (per day)
Total Rental Days: 9 days
Subtotal: $99.00
Taxes and Fees: $78.73
Total Charges: $177.73

We ended up with Hertz and I would do it again in a heart beat! The shuttle was waiting at the curb as we exited the airport. There was no one in line at the rental car desk and I was on my way in mins. :goodvibes Drop off was just as easy! :thumbsup2

Does prices at Priceline include basic insurance or is it all based on your basic car insurance?

Anyone have advice as to when I should start bidding for a Mid/late August Trip? I don't want to bid too early.

Nope, no add-ons. I looked at other bids on Biddingfortravel and it looks like all rentals from MCO have about the same % taxes and fees.

Ray

Several of the MCO fees are "per day". So no matter how cheap the car they don't change. What changes is the percentage of your total cost. If the fees are $10 a day and the car is $40 then they don't seem so high. If the fees are $10 and the rental is $10 then... :)

Priceline does not include ANY insurance. Also not all credit cards will cover you with priceline since you are NOT paying the rental car company directy. Be sure and check.

No car rentals include insurance, which ever way you book them. Insurance is always an extra charge and usually an expensive one. Our own car insurance covers rentals so I know I'm covered.

The above is not always a true statement.

For example, I use a company contract which includes insurance!
