Morning,

6 more days!!!!!

Anyway, I have been trying Priceline for months to rent a minivan at a reasonable price and this morning they accepted my offer of $20 a day!! The total for 10 days with tax is $260 with Alamo.

I have never used Priceline before and I hope there are no problems when I go to get the van. Has everyone had a good experience with them?

I had made a ressie with Budget months ago, should I keep the ressie in case something goes wrong with Priceline? I have a confirmed budget car without a deposit creditcard.

Also, we use a Visa debtcard and they said I need to show a return ticket in order to use the card. I use e-ticket printouts that have a barcode on them, will they accept that?

I have used them with hotels, but never a car. Great with the hotel!

Please post your experience when you get back. I have never been brave enough to go through Priceline because I am always afraid that I am going to get a vendor that I would have to take a shuttle to.

Have fun and good luck!

I was able to choose MCO as my pick up location in advance :) There is an Alamo IN the orlando airport right?

I have used Priceline for cars at Orlando and received Alamo (onsite) 1x and Hertz (off-site) 2x. The Hertz shuttle is very quick. It does add a little time to the rental process, but it's not that bad. And who can beat $12 per day for a compact car? We were upgraded the last time at Hertz to a Hundai Sonata with moon roof (very nice).

Yes Alamo is inside the airport....you will not be treated any differently with Alamo through a Priceline reservation than you would be booking directly through Alamo....we rent cars via Priceline all the time and nevr have had a moments difficulty. There is no need to keep your Budget ressie since you have prepaid through Priceline....they guarentee your vehicle will be there for you.

That is a good price for a long minivan rental....good going!!

On my last three trips (las Vegas, Reno, NH) I've used priceline and got a great deal, twice through Hertz and once with Avis. I do my homework and check prices all over and priceline has been the best deal by a long shot.

I prefer Hotwire for hotels, but I just can't find a better deal than priceline on car rentals.
