Priceline....are we screwed?

You are so lucky they were able to fix your mistake. i once bid on priceline for a hotel in Chicago and made a mistake and had one area checked that I didnt want checked and guess what, I got a hotel in that area....for $375 a night!!!!! I was out $400 and still had to get the hotel I needed. Not PL fault, my own, and boy was it a painful one! I did call to see if they would take pity on me, but no such luck.

I have been very lucky with Priceline over the last few years. I do double and triple check everything before I make a bid and I'm always nervous bidding on hotels. I have caught myself almost making a bad boo-boo more than once.

I did get great results though so far.

I love Priceline too, but I've only used them for hotels. I go to betterbidding.com first and research. Back in 2000, I used them for our Disney stay, and we got the Marriott Orlando World Center, if that's the right name!

I've used it to stay in Orlando, Vermont (twice), and Baltimore. Maybe more that I'm forgetting.

If I screwed up and got the wrong class of hotel, or the wrong area, because of my own mistake, and they went out of their way to make me happy, I would definitely use them again...but I'd be very careful, to the point of having a friend look over my shoulder and watch me bid. Actually, I do that already.
