Priceline has changed a bit since I last used them (3 yrs. ago). I've looked for answers to the following questions on both the priceline webpage and biddingfortravel.com, but no luck. Does anyone here have answers to the following?
(1) I am seeing itineraries for my flight that involve arriving at a connecting airport by 11pm and then not departing until the next morning between 6&9 am. IF I agree to redeye travel, is being assigned this itinerary a possibility? I thought Priceline would not give you a layover of over 6 hours, regardless of when you travel.

(2) Priceline uses Delta airlines; does this mean you could actually end up booked on Song (or United/Ted)?

(3) When I bid, it says I will have to make one connection with this route, and doesn't give me the opportunity to accept more than one connection. Does this mean I am effectively blocked from winning a route with 2 connections?

(4) Will Priceline book my itinerary on different carriers?

Thanks for any info!

I'd recommend you go to biddingfortravel.com for help - they're more expert than most.

I've tried priceline a couple times lately and can answer a couple of your questions.

1)When you go through the bidding process, it tells you that your flight could depart anytime between 6 am and 10pm and that you will not arrive any later than 12:30 am. So, I do not think an overnight layover is an option on the first bid.

3)When your bid gets rejected (mine did), it gives you options to rebid...there you can change options like add the red-eye, which means departures before 6 am and arrivals after 1 am. You can also change the # of connections and whether or not you're willing to use non-jet planes to attempt a re-bid.

You might look at priceline's faq closer to see what it does on the whole delta/multiple carrier thing, as I'm not sure.
