We haven't been to disney since 2018, when we always went 1 or 2 times per year. We usually went in August. We were considering going either in September, 2021 or January, 2023. I just got an email for this mid-September from travel agent we always used for a 7 night trip at a deluxe with 4 adult tickets for 7 days. I almost fell off my chair. Almost $8K:scared1: September/August used to be "reasonable". Is it the pandemic that elevated the prices so much? We paid half this amount not that many years ago and the price doesn't even include food. We will probably wait it out. I couldn't believe my eyes!

There have been a few big price increases since 2018. In addition, there's post-COVID pent-up demand and few discounts because of the 50th anniversary.

Disney has made it very clear with their pricing that they value the "once in a lifetime" trips over repeat visitors.

It's mind blowing what they charge for "deluxe" rooms but since people are lining up to pay it....technically they are not overpriced.

Did anyone see the cost of the Halloween basket that can be delivered to your room? $349 for roughly $30 worth of product...

More than $30 just in the mouse ear hats and the book for sure. But I mean I feel even at inflated Mouse prices I couldn’t come up with much more than a $100 of value. $349!? LOL! I feel like that’s gotta be priced wrong by at least $200 but maybe they are really trying to see how much people will really pay for nothing?

Maybe it's $100 worth of stuff and $250 for delivery? :rotfl2:

It reminds me of a scene in the show Mythic Quest. They priced out a "one of a kind" sword in a video game for $250,000 thinking nobody would be that dumb to buy it. Of course someone did and their response was "someone just paid $250,000 for air"
