Price to enter star wars land

Just heard a rumor that you will have to use maxpass in order to enter star wars land. They are doing this to avoid the 5 hour wait times like they had at universal for harry potter. This is crazy, isn't the price to enter the park by then probably going to detour people.!!!

What was the source of the rumor? Seems sketchy to me, I wouldn't believe it unless the source is proven reliable.

To get into Star Wars Land period or just to get a FP for the rides? I heard a similar rumor but it was just that you would have to use MaxPass to get a FastPass for the 2 rides, not to enter the land. There are rumors swirling like crazy about what they are going to do when it opens. Why would they care about 5 hour lines? That's what they had when RSR opened and GoTG:MB.

Max Pass hasn't even started yet.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney makes SWL a separate admission price. I mean, Legoland does that with their in park waterpark...there is a surcharge to go there. It would eliminate overcrowding issues.

I also think it's a bit too early to speculate on the details, especially since we're still relatively early in the construction phase of Star Wars Land and MaxPass hasn't been launched yet. I think we might see similar situations as when Pandora first opened, where there was a line to enter due to capacity. You were able to bypass the line if you had a FP for one of the attractions from my understanding. Maybe this is where the Star Wars Land rumor is drawing from.

On another note, I don't think any price is going to detour people from visiting Star Wars Land, especially when it first opens.

I doubt it, although I could see them requiring a FP to ride the new attractions to help manage the lines.

They definitely won't have a separate admission price. The logistics of setting up a gate within a gate at all three entrances would be a nightmare. If they wanted a third gate they would have built it with a third gate.

You will probably be given a return time ticket to enter the land.
Similar to the way Universal did for Harry Potter Land.

There won't be a separate charge.

Max Pass hasn't made an appearance yet, Star Wars is 2 years off, anything you hear will be a complete rumor. MaxPass is simply a way to get FP, so how they would use it for "admittance" is strange. Let's wait til Disney announces something before we "panic."

Since MaxPass has no price, and SW has no date, this thread seems to be between 18 months and 2 1/2 years premature. We don't even know if the current ticket structure will still be in place by then.

The rumor I read, via MiceAge, was that you would need a FP (via MaxPass) to enter the land. I asked if that meant you had to use MP to get in and they clarified that regular FP would also be available.

Of course this is only a rumor and it's still two years away.

ill be curious to see if they mention anything about it at the upcoming expo. Makes you wonder how they will control the crowds for star wars land?
