Ok....I'm having WDW withdrawals...but I'd REALLY like to take my kids on a Disney cruise... how much am I looking at for myself, and 2 girls...ages 9 and 5? Are there anyways to find discounts and when is the cheapest time to travel??

the cruise prices are cheapest when the dates are announced (usually in the fall - this year they will be announced for 2007) and then go up from there so they will be cheaper the earlier you can make your ressie. The best places to start to find out a good range of fares for different stateroom categories is disneycruise dot com and the cruisequick dot com (an online travel agency)...once you have an idea of cost per category and decide which categories sound good to you, shop around different travel agencies (there are many threads discussing travel agencies to check out) and use the one that gives you the best rate. The only reason i suggest using the 2 websites above is because you can see right in front of you the approximate difference between each category and can print it out, not have to listen to someone on the phone give you all the rates when you have no idea what category you want...plus you can get an idea of which rooms are available... :flower:

Someone correct me if I am wrong - you are one adult and two children? I believe the first two passengers pay adult fare - keep that in mind.

Yes!

Yuk.,....I gotta pay adult fare for a child??
So, if the rates come out this fall...we'd cruise in 2007?? How much down do they require?
Thanks for the advice on the websites too!

That again depends on the length of the cruise. I believe it $200 per person for 3 and 4 nights, $250 for 7 nights and $350 for 10 or 14 nights. So, for you it could range from $600 - $1050 depending the length cruise you choose. The deposit is also higher if you book a suite stateroom (cat 3 or higher).
