I have tried to get the Search function to work for 2 days to get an answer to this question, so I guess I'm just gonna have to ask it! :badpc:

I'm totally new to pin trading and am trying to buy a few pins off eBay before we go. The ones I'm looking at, I don't think are anything special or unique. Anyway, they're all $5.95 with free shipping -- is that a comparable price to what you'd pay in the parks or should I just wait until we're there to buy them?

Thanks! :thanks:

I think the cheapest at the parks not on sale is 6.85 .Pull up Disney Pin lots and you may find like 10 pins for under 4.00 per pin that are still the GOOD disney pins.

Also remember it's hard to trade pins you pick one at a time because you end up liking them and don't want to give them away.Stay away from the smaller pins (sesmea) as they are very hard to trade.
Here's an example of good traders http://cgi.ebay.com/DiSnEy-18-pin-L...Z6628573373QQcategoryZ143QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.
but look for things like these.

Oh my gosh NO NO NO, that is way too expensive for trader pins and you definately don't want to wait and purchase them at the parks. Just follow the advice from tmt martins and you will get some great pins for about $3 each. Just make sure you figure the shipping charges in with the cost to get an accurate per pin cost before you bid. Some sellers charge an outrageous amount for shipping and that really drives up the price of the pins.

I just picked up a bunch of traders at the Disney Store in my local mall. Three Narnia pins on a card for $7.50 (that's $2.50 each) and no shipping cost. If you have a Disney Store near you, try there first.

 OOPS!

Guess I forgot to mention that the ones I'm looking at for the $5.95 price are "keepers". One special one for each of us. Just wanted to make sure that I couldn't get them brand new at the parks for the same price. Thanks to the advice here, I've found some others in lots on eBay that would be good for trading.

Thanks alot! :goodvibes
