Price of DVC Annual Pass

The renewal is $80.00 cheaper then the $419.00....Well we just got our renewal reminder and it ONLY $47.00 difference:scared1: What! that is outrageous! it used to be $80.00. I would not renew it, it is worth buying a new one, so it starts when you need it to start.

I was going to renew when I am there in a few weeks cause I expire on 10/15 and then I won't be back until 12/12. If it is only a $47 difference I'll wait so I get the extra 60 days on it.
Never relized the price difference was so little

For questions like these you need to remember that this site is a full service site and things like ticket prices can be found on the site: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm#ap Whenever you have some exploration time to spend click on "Disney World Information" at the top of the page and do some exploring to see all the things you can actually find on this site.

Followed the link to discover that the renewal/new price differential difference is only $45. We have a March expiration, with a two week trip booked for May, but might do F&W instead next fall. Trip in January, then what? I'm leaning toward new pass in the fall if we don't do the spring thing. But wait - 9 months without a trip! Shudder to think about it.:)

To correct something from above, a NEW DVC Discount Premium Annual Pass is $524 plus tax.

The cost quoted above is the renewal price.

No problem on that... I'm research getting an annual for next year's use year since I am planning on about 5 3-day weekend trips to WDW (driving from the ATL area)... I have a non expire MYW ticket but would consider getting an annual to buy the TIW card since we like one Table Service meal a day... The $419 is a good deal...

Of course, since I'm also planning a 4-day weekend visit to Disneyland, I'm also debating the Premier Pass but the cost of a DVC Annual to WDW + the 3 day hopper ticket for DL is much cheaper compared to the Premier.

Good call. We are getting our 3rd trip in this March and our passes will expire in May... our next trip isn't till October 2012 so maybe this is the better option since we'll be get a few extra months to squeeze in another trip in 2012-2013... never even thought of waiting it out... too bad the renewal difference has dropped so much... at $80 each I wouldn't even be contemplating...I'd just renew...

I wouldn't mind the price difference so much if they made the renewal for 15 months again. That was a sweet deal. Wish they would do that all the time.

I agree that woud be a really nice perk for DVC if they did it again.

Our next trip ends 12/10 and don't know when the one after that will be. AP will expire 12/13. Will probably just wait and buy new passes when we go again since the difference at this time is only $45.

Gee, we just bought a new pass 2 weeks ago, and it seemed like it was a little more than $419, like around $430. Either it's recently gone up, or [quite likely]I have a bad memory.

I was just pricing out new DVC AP's today for our Aug trip and the prices I saw are $446.24 for an adult ticket and $411.09 for a child ticket, both prices include 6.5% tax.

Whew! That sounds right-maybe I don't have such a terrible memory. All I really remember is DH turning to me and saying "Wow! It's really gone up in price, hasn't it." That part I remember for sure.

I just purchased ours on site this morning and these were the exact prices. I also remember thinking, "Holy canolli! I don't remember it costing this much!"
