Price of cruise

Last month I booked a cruise on RC to the northern cities escape for June of next year. It was for a guarantee OV. The ship was pretty full already but decided to go with it since I was pretty sure things would change this far out price was around 4500$
Anyways I was checking around and found the Danes cruise going out late aug of next year which would work better for us.
So for a small change fee I could book that cruise and of course the rate was higher. But I could pick my own room. Rate for this was around 5000$ but was for a balcony non connecting and I could pick.
Now since I like to check on how things are booking now all that’s available is connecting guarantee for 6200$
I really felt like I got a bargain and I’m not changing anything. Also early dinning
Does this type of cruise fill up so early. It’s over a year away

We are on a 12-night European Capitals cruise (Rotterdam/Bruges/Oslo/Gothenberg/Copenhagen/Aarhus/Hamburg/LeHavre) out of Southampton next May on Princess. For 3 of us in an inside stateroom, it was around $5,500, which included Princess Plus (Wifi, Gratuities, and Drink Package for 1st 2 people), so not sure how long your cruise is, but this would be a good comparison.

I don't understand why it matters whether it fills up early or not. You got a price and cabin you're happy with. If it continues to fill up, the price will continue to rise (but you're locked into what you're paying). If it doesn't fill up, probably after final payment is due, they'll drop the price.

If you are going to get upset if the price drops and you can't change to the lower price, don't look at pricing any more.

Well, TAs can grab blocks of rooms, so those rooms wouldn't be available on the Royal website. I don't think you can tell how full the cruise really is this far out.
