I already own 250 points at the BVC and are looking to add on anohter 100-150 pts. I know that DVC offers to buy back your first use year points to help off set your cost. But has anyone negotiated a lower purchase price, received extra points for purchasing the DVC or any other worth while incentive. I know that they have given out free hats, shirts, bags or park tickets. I am not looking for those kinds of incentives.

DVC will not negotiate price or extra points. There are times when Magical Beginnings is not offered (buying back first years points). You must fall in the 50% banking window to qualify for MB (according to my guide anyway).

Good luck...

They're fixing to raise the price in less than two weeks, thats their negotiation, "buy now and save $4/pt"

Why would they lower their price when they think they can get more than they sell for now?

When we cruised last year, and were starting to think about joining DVC, we sat next to a DVC family for one of the shows. The Dad told me he negotiated a better deal for himself with a seller at the Timeshare Store. He was very happy with the outcome, and LOVING using his points to cruise.

Now, I don't know how often you're able to negotiate a resale. But he shrugged and told me "It's like buying a car or a house. Work your way to a better price, if you can."

Yes, a resale is negotiable. I assumed the original poster was taking about buying from DVD.

FAWWWWWGGGGEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDAAAAAAABBBBBBBOOOOOWWWWWWWEEEEEDDDDDDIT ..........DVD is non-negotiable, though they do offer some nice hats, pins, and bags at the DVC meetings on cruises!!!!!!!

To verify, I tried several methods to get DVD to come down in price, throw in something extra, or otherwise get a better deal. The response was that DVD does not negotiate better deals for some that are not available to all.
