Do we have any sense yet on what percentage the cruises have increased from last year's spring cruises to this year's?

The prices are insane. My TA held the 7-day Southern Caribbean on the Magic 4/16-4/23/17 for me and the total for 2A1C(14) in a 9C was $6590. Definitely will not be going!!

i priced out the 7 night Eastern Caribbean for 2A - cat 9B for May and it was $4392!!!! crazy!!!! She said it was because of the time of year..... we always cruise then..... Eastern doesnt have as many stops as it used to so not sure why it was so high- called real early this morning too. April was cheaper but still $3300 and not sure if my daughter would be out of school

Was it early May. The first 2 weeks in May usually have better pricing then April. The last time I cruised in May I paid less then that for family of 4 in a verandah. Crazy prices, but not unexpected. I laughed when I saw the premier Annual pass prices. We bought them in 2012 for 750.00. They are now 1439. Talk about a big price increase in 3 years. I'm so glad my kids prefer Universal over WDW now.

Makes me wonder if these dates in May might turn out to be a Star Wars day at Sea? Jack the prices up before they announce it? I know all the merchandise for the Star Wars cruises coming up in 2016 say the word "Inaugural" on them, which translates to first cruises of more to come.

There aren't any quotes posted for Easter on the Fantasy 2017 cruises yet to compare.

These quotes for the Dream are early for break in 2017 and the week after Easter in 2017. They are the only things to compare at the moment though.

3/28/16 4-night Bahamian Itinerary A - PC, Nassau, CC, sea day
9B 2A2K [15,15] $3914.32, no ins/trns

April 10, 2017*
4-Night Bahamian Cruise - Itinerary A from PC

9B 4A 5136 no ins/trns

Wonder Easter week
3/25/16 5-night Western Itinerary C
Miami, sea, Grand Cayman, sea, CC ** Blacked Out **
9D 2A2C [5,11] $3772, [1175/500], no ins/trns*

April 16, 2017*
4-Night Bahamian Cruise - Itinerary A from Port Canaveral
7A 2A1K [13] 4166.33
9C 2A1K [13] 3766.33

The Magic is doing 3 & 4 night cruises during Easter/spring break 2016 and 7 nights in 2017 so that really can't be compared.

Can I ask what sailing in May was this quote for? I am also interested in a May Eastern itinerary cruise.

Easter is April 16th in 2017. That is going to make a big difference when comparing pricing.

We booked the April 22, 2017 Eastern on the Fantasy. For 2 adults and 2 children (14 & 12) in a 5C it came to $5104 with the OBB discount.

We had booked the May 16, 2015 Western on the Fantasy for 2 adults and 2 children (12 & 10) in a 5B for $5708 without the OBB discount. We switched to the May 3, 2015 Western Magic sailing in a 5A for about $100 less.

The price I got today seems pretty reasonable to me. :)

This is very comparable to what we have for April 2 2016, 7 night western on the Fantasy, we paid just over $5,300 for 2 A 2K 11 and 14, no OBB and no ins. Just a minor increase from last year's prices. (*we booked our 2016 cruise prior to the Star Wars day at Sea announcement)

I guess it depends on what your interpretation of reasonable is.:) The week after a major holiday week tend to have the best prices, and the best GT rates from my experience. Your smart picking that week.

Was quoted 4707.20 for February 25th 2017 on the Fantasy. This is for 2a2c in a 9a and with OBB. It is a lot of money but honestly not that huge of an increase for the Fantasy. We had the same exact cruise booked 3 years ago February( and will be 4 years by time of cruise) but had to change it because my daughter had a standardized test that week. Back then my quote was about 4300.00. So comparing it to other price increases for other weeks February seems a good time to cruise Fantasy if you are willing to take kids out of school....

But if you compare your april 2 fantasy cruise to this year's fantasy april 1 cruise you paid much less. A 5e for 2a, 1C is $5400. I'm guessing the price has gone up $1000 in every category for that week and Easter would not influence that price hike.

April 2, 2016: 7 night Disney Fantasy Western, 2A2C, category 7A = $5397.76
April 1, 2017: 7 night Disney Fantasy Western, 2A2C, category 7A = $6358.32

Easter is March 27 in 2016 and April 16 in 2017. This is roughly an 18% increase for the same stateroom (literally, the exact same room number).

We are sailing on the Jan 16, 2016 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy.

I just compared the opening-day price we paid to the current opening-day price for the Jan 14, 2017 cruise. For our family of 5, 2017 is only about ~$100 more. So there are still some "ok" prices for the off-season cruises.
