Price Increase Officially Announced

I was going to buy at SSR, but decided to wait due to the downpayment issue, but they offered VB for a ton less, so they must still have plenty of VB left. Haven't decided if we'll get VB, though.

Hello: Seems to me, that the resales should now be selling for $85 per point at least. Afterall, the supply is very limited and traditionally resales have be selling for about $10 less than the price for the current resort Disney is selling. So, all those who plan to sell should be increasing your price to $85. Remeber, if you offer it at $75, you'll never get $85(more of what it is worth).

I really can't imagain anyone selling the more limited resorts(BCV,VWL) at less than the $95 minus the $3-4 of closing costs for the buyer. Anything less than that is a steal. As far as the extra 10 years are concerned, it souldn't come into play until at least 2025. If you want to know why 2025, Ask and I'll explain my reasoning. Thanks.

Just curious, when did they make this offer? Word is that VB is now sold out (with the exception of some inventory for limited add-ons).

please correct the following statements, if they are incorrect

THe $95.00 per point at SSR&S, does not guarantee, you that any additional DVC II resorts, will be built. Probably but no guarantee.

When the DVC I Resorts, expire in 2042. The DVC II owner has no guarantee, he will have access to the DVC I resorts, between 2042 and 2054.

Thank you for correcting either or both of these statements, if they prove to be incorrect.

The same things were true in 1991 when OKW opened and have been true for every buyer since that time. There have been no guarantees that DVC would ever include more resorts from the very beginning- until they actually started sales at another resort.

If you want a guarantee, it would be best to purchase where you'd like to stay.

I was told by my guide that the existing resorts (BCV, BWV, VWL, OKW) are staying at $84/point. It seems that disney is trying to discourage buying any more points at these resorts and is really pushing all purchases to be at SSR.

I guess we shall see....
