This is doing my nut in.

Two weeks ago Disney quoted me over £1,200 for 3N/4D at Santa Fe for 4 adults for next october. They also wanted over £850 for flights. Even with my 21yo paying his own way, I was looking at £1,850 outlay.

I've checked again today and they now only want £744 for one room at the Santa Fe, and all 4 of us can use the one room. Now, two weeks ago we had to have two rooms and the CM I spoke to can't explain why I was told two rooms - both on the phone (three times) and on the website.

Easyjet flights have gone from £680 to £215 from Newcastle-CDG return.

Total holiday cost is now only (!) £959 for all 4 of us, HALF of what I was quoted before, and only £124 more than I paid for this october.

Any ideas as to why the sudden drastic change in terms and prices ??? Anyone else getting conflicting info ??? I dont know whether to book now in case the price goes up again ...

I bet you're relieved you didn't book two weeks ago!:scared1: I think I'd go ahead and book in case the flights go up again. Are the flights in a sale?

If you're happy with the prices you're being quoted now, book it.

I did wonder originally why you'd been told it had to be 2 rooms for your party, as I know that 4 adults can share a standard room at any of the onsite hotels :confused3 .

When I'm looking at booking flights/hotel etc for DLRP, I compare it to what I've paid before. If its a similar or cheaper price, I usually go for it.
While the brochure price for hotels won't change, the special offers come and go, and so if you have one of those included in your hotel price, and you're happy with the price, then I'd say book it.

It can also be the CM too.

I called once for my December trip from the 12th to the 14th and was quoted £350, I hung up and called again and was quoted £175! The original CM had mis-heard me asking for the dates and gave me a quote from the wrong dates!

i also wondered why they told you that you needed two rooms as rooms sleep up to four people regardless of age. the fact that you are now only paying for one room explains the hotel price. if the flights are on sale i would book them. thats what i am waiting for, for my flights

at that price I'd book it :goodvibes I've got to say I've had a few odd quotes and when I look at the colour coding for when should be cheaper it doesn't make sense !

I would book it too - I thought those prices you had before were really OTT!!

Booked it now :) The CM I spoke to this time couldnt understand why the previous quotes were so far off. What I find hard to believe is that three different CMs on three different days came up with the same quote amount.

Now got a chance (and incentive) to save up. I really wish the kids were 2 & 10 again. No, hang on ... ... ...

[Edit] - neither the flights nor package are sale prices. Disney wont admit they got it wrong, and Easyjet say "they constantly review prices". Thanks for the replies btw :)
