Price changes for resorts

I am planning a birthday trip to WDW and DCL in 2016. I would like to know how far in advance i can book a room at one of the resorts, and how much the prices change each year. Any advice i can recieve from WDW pros would be very helpful!

I THINK you can book one year in advance. As for the price increases, I think you could look at historical prices to get an idea of yearly increases in the past...that's probably the best predictor, but not an exact science of course.

We're planning on booking for Jan 2015 and have basically decided to use the time until then to learn what we can about the parks, etc... (not to mention visiting DL in the year in between).

In the past, it's been about a year out for us to book. I'm sure that if you hang around here, these guys will let you know when booking opens up.

You can book a room only reservation up to 499 days in advance and make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance.

If you want to book a package, you'll have to wait until they release the prices for 2016, which should be June of 2015.

I just hate the waiting part! I have a small group of friends i want to invite, and they keep asking me how much it will be. Do u think june 2015 is to late start saving up and requesting time off? Im worried no one will want to go if they have to wait that long for a price estimate.

Book the room at 499 days out so that price won't change and then add everything else on later.
