well we were planning on a first week of May trip and
guess what I am now due the first week of July!

DO I dare????

Neither of my other prgnancies have been easy or fun! DD will be turning 10 and DS will be 3 1/2.

I think you just answered your own question.
I would go to Disney pregnant, but not that late, especially not if you have had a hard time in the past.

Depends on what you mean...pregnancy wasn't that bad, but delivery was a problem for me. I went at 7 months and honestly was a bit frustrated not being able to do everything!!

Can you go and be happy sitting? Your other pregnancies, were you having problems in the 3rd trimester? have you asked your OB?

Good luck with your decision!!

check your insurance if you decide to go. Many will not pay out of area deliveries after the 7th month. Just a heads up. Also you did not mention what you ment by tough pregnancies. If either of your other children were early, you might want to reconsider. The more pregnancies, the greater chance of premature delivery if you are predisposed to that. Lots to consider.

I had a lot of problems with a vein in my leg - but I have since had that stripped - and my DS who is 3 now sat low and pressed on a nerve - and then their is the gestational diabetes - augh!

No early deliveries here - late ones! AUGH!

I went on a cruise almost 6 months prego and went kayaking and everything - but I don't know about the DIS - I am the adrenalin junkie of the family

BIG problem is we start building our house in the spring and it may be - :worried: years before we can get back! I know that the house will suck up all of our money - then new furniture - yaddi yaddi yaddi!

I really wanted to sneak a trip in before - and dh plows snow all winter so its early spring or not at all :(

I know that if I don't go I need to STOP reading the trip reports - they make me sad :( I miss Dis

Congratuations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to Disney when I was 32 weeks pregnant (1st week of FEB, baby was born last week of March)

I was really sick for most of the pregnancy, however I felt the best the week we were at Disney. We took it easy and it turns out it was down right COLD that week. It was disapointing since I was hoping to get a winter break from Michigan, but I think it helped alot. I didn't get over heated or have any swelling at all.

It can be HOT in May. Can up push it up at all to late Feb or March? (I know you have older kids, any school breaks?)

Also when you make the plans make sure you can post-pone them with out much loss, that way if the time comes and you are not doing well you can put if off until the baby is born.

You deserve a nice break, don't worry you won't be the only pregnant women there.

Make sure to take it easy, take lots of breaks and try to be off your feet as much as possible.

I had a trip planned for my 6th month of pregnancy. Ended up cancelling it though due to pregnany complications (placenta previa). I was so sad to miss it, but realized I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway. No matter how many babies we carry, I think we forget how hard it is in the end. Even in a perfectly healthy pregnancy, those last few months are really hard. I couldn't imagine walking all over Disney that far along and in July to boot! Personally, I wouldn't do it....but I know how much you want to go. You're the only one who can decide. Good luck! And CONGRATULATIONS!!

Congratulations!! IMHO, I think it would be difficult at BEST for me to do that. I had a GREAT pregnancy with DS7, but I really don't think I would have wanted to go in the last trimester. Best of luck in your decision!

'wing it'
and not make any definate ressies til the last minute.
Problem is DH plows for the state and corporates and can't leave on a trip til the snow is done!
I was hoping to be there for DD-9's B-day but don't think I really wanna wait that long - til May-
so we will see April 1st ish how the weather looks, and how I feel and maybe make a trip down -
we are definately doing SOME vacation -
I just don't know WHAT to do if we don't go to DIS!

I think that sounds like a good plan. Our trip was was last min planned, and I am glad because I knew then I was feeling good enough for it. Just try to avoid easter week or other big draw crowds. When I asked my Dr. if I could go he encourged it. Then he said he took his wife to WDW when she was 34 weeks pregnant. But I said she had her Dr. with her. He laughed at that.

Good luck, have a great pregnancy and a healthy baby!!!!!!

Just went in Oct. for F&W Fest at 30 weeks pregnant. In all it was not a bad trip but I will not go to WDW again while pregnant! Just too much! We stayed at BCV which was great for proximity to EPCOT but the walking, walking, walking was killer! As this was our 5th trip to WDW I knew what to expect but it was still overwhelming for me. We took LOTS of breaks and we went back to the room each afternoon for a rest and generally spent at least a half hour to an hour each day in the quiet pool. This was an easy trip compared to what we normally do but I personally wouldn't do it again. We spent a great deal more time in the room this trip than in previous trips too.

The crowds were a lot bigger than we are used to (we normally go the week after Labor Day) but the weather was FANTASTIC!! Low to mid 80s each day--no rain!! Usually when we go its 90-95 each day in Sept. I'm not sure how the weather is in May but its probably fairly warm.

We also rented a mini SUV this trip so I didn't have to contend with the buses. That made for a much more pleasant trip! We only tried the bus one day to MK and after that we drove!! But since we mostly went to EPCOT we rode the boat often or we walked (about a 5 minute walk from BCV to the back entrance at World Showcase).

As this is our first baby (due Dec. 30th) this trip was still just a "couple" trip so I also didn't have other kids to deal with-- don't know if I could handle that or not!!;)

Good luck if you decide to go!

Well it looks like aftre responding to this I will be pregnant again at WDW, 8 weeks. We have a trip planned in 31 days (new years day to Jan 7th) and I just found out I am pregnant (due in Aug.)

I hope I am not puking my guts out then!!!!!!!1:tongue:

CONGRATULATIONS to you, Disney PhD!!!!! :teeth: Baby's first trip to Disney...how sweet! Good luck to you!

DisneyPhD~~

Funny how all the sudden a post can apply to us, too!!lol. Congrats on your pregnancy and have a wonderful trip!

Congratulations Patty!!!!:sunny: I hope everything works out for you.

I hope this I-read-the-pregnant-ladies-post-and-now-I'm-pregnant thing isn't catchy!! :teeth:

Of course you know I'm going to tell you to go... but not if you're not feeling well. You've got that 3 year old to chase after too. Hey, I think you and I should go (after the baby!) by ourselves for a long weekend! Hmmm... lets think on that.

Congratulations again Patty... and maybe one of these times I call your house you'll be home!
