but figured I would ask it anyway. If we purchase a one day one park pass, but then decide that one park isn't quite enough, is t possible to pay to upgrade it to multiple parks/days?

Yes it is, general consensus is do it before you leave the park that day.

But, I took my parents 2 tickets (1day base tickets) to customer support, 2 months after they visited, and they told me the ticket is non expiring and could be upgraded at any time.

Universal doesn't issue non-expiring tickets any longer. All tickets expire...even annual passes.

To avoid any problems, it's best to upgrade before you leave the park on the first day.

Is it possible to upgrade to a one day/two park pass after spending time in one park?

^ I read this question incorrectly! I thought you were asking to upgrade a 1 park / 1 day to a 2 park / 1 day. (which costs $20 - $30.) But I believe you can upgrade after spending time in the park. Just be sure to do it that day.

I assure you this is what I was told, that the 1 day base ticket was non expiring (they scanned) and that they would be able to come back at anytime and upgrade those tickets. I was baffled myself.

upgrade before you leave the park.

the cost for the day ticket you used to get in, will be included on the upgrade price.

I have a similar question. We have two day/ one park passes. If after entering a park on the second day we want to go back to the other one, can we park hop by upgrading to a two park pass for the last day? :confused3

So they used their one day ticket, you took the used up ticket back two months later, and they upgraded it to something else? Is that what you are saying?

What did they upgrade it to and how much did it cost?

Yes. You can upgrade to pretty much anything as long as you do it before the end of the day on the last day.

I went again a month later with my little sister (we both upgrading to annual passes), my sister had a 2day 1 park ticket and she upgraded before the 13 day expiration after 1st use. When we went to Universal a month after my parents used their 1day base ticket, I decided to take everyones tickets (2 (1) day tickets, and 5 (2) day tickets). The GS employees scanned the tickets and told me the 1 day tickets were showing up in their system as never expiring so they could be upgraded at anytime while the (2) day 1park base tickets expire after 13 days of the first use so they could not be upgraded (since a month had gone by). My parents weren't with me so I didn't upgrade their tickets, but according to GS they can come back at anytime and pay (i think it was 20$) more for the Power Pass (we are fl residents). I can assure you this is what I was told as I made sure they reiterate it.
