Pretty soon there will be nobody left to buy Rodan and Fields

Because everyone is selling it!

My Facebook feed is nothing but people selling Rodan and Fields. And I am not impressed when I see them in person. They have the same wrinkles and fine lines as I do.

But it almost seems like a cult the way these sales people worship this product. And the before and after pictures seem so fake. Especially the ones that claim they finally got rid of their freckles. Why would you want to get rid of freckles? You have had them since 1st grade. Oh, and by the way, I just saw someone last week that claimed to have no more freckles. The freckles are still there (and that's a good thing). I almost called her out on it, but she is very nice. Although, I had to walk away from her due to her talk of a great deal going on at "R&F".

Am I the only one who has a multitude of people pushing this skin care line?

Oh I am so with you.
Just last week I was invited to a "party" by a mom at DD's school. She's really nice, and we're friendly when I see each other, so while we hadn't done anything socially in the past, it wasn't a totally weird invitation, and at first I thought it was so nice that she reached out to me. Then I looked at the guest list and realized 85 people were invited. And it was really just an R&F sales pitch. I was so annoyed.

I had to google to see what Rodan and Fields was. Does that tell you how many people I know who sell it?? :rotfl2:

Of course I'm one of those weirdos who has not worn any makeup in years, and I don't own any 'skin care products' except a tube of apricot scrub that I wash my face with.

It's any of the Multi level marketing gimmicks on social media now.

There are Rodan Fields, Plexus, Beach Body and some green drink sales people on my feed now.

Facebook seems to be their platform of choice right now.

I have one who claims to have gotten rid of freckles and sun damage. I don't really have freckles or sun damage (I avoid the sun and wear sunscreen).

I also have a few who sell make-up.

The thing is, they all think they look so much younger. They all look their age.

I only have one friend currently selling it, and she drives me crazy! I had to unfollow her on FB because it's all she posts about. She even sends me PMs asking if I'm interested in her specials. I have told her I have a skin care regime that costs me a LOT less than R&F and works just fine. She still PMs me, so I just ignore her. I don't want to unfriend her because her father is our neighbor and sometimes I need to contact her about him. She posted a photo the other day of someone who used their eyelash treatment, and there is no way that it's the same person in both photos - their eyes are completely different! She has even suckered my MIL to buy the stuff to get rid of her age spots. Yeah, it's not working.
Brace yourself for the next wave of FB friends selling... toothpaste! I have 3 friends selling it already and I just keep scrolling. It's died down a bit, thank goodness. I also just un-liked all the LuLaRoe pages I used to follow. I have changed my FB setting half a dozen times, but I still get alerts for all of them every day. Even after unfollowing them! Drives me batty.
People - if you are selling crap on FB, create a business page and invite people to like your page if they want info on your business. And stop sharing every single post from your business page on your personal page. If I wanted to know about your business page, I would follow your business page. I've had to unfollow several people on FB because of this. I don't want your Mary Kay makeup, I don't want your toothpaste, I don't want your My ThirtyOne, I don't want your LLR, I don't want your mascara, this list just keeps going... Rant over.

Dang it I miss my Avon reps! I loved/love Avon. I have a friend who sells R F too. That is all she post about. I love seeing her kids and the work her husband is doing on their house, so I haven't unfollowed her yet. I don't even know anyone who can afford that stuff!

I feel the same way, Half my feed is R&F, I did have one friend who gave me free samples a while back, I didn’t like it so I haven’t purchased anything. I doubt I will be in the future either.

Ugh. I would take this any day over the ones in my newsfeed who are selling this super-secret whitening toothpaste. Aside from completely vague-booking the product - "I love this toothpaste! In just two weeks, my (disgusting) coffee stained teeth are brilliantly white again! Inbox me in you would like some!", and then when people as questions, it is so annoying that all the seller will do is promise them an instant message.

Because this product is so darn amazing that giving out a cost per tube and the name of the product is such sensitive information that it can't be shared with everyone?

And the worst thing is, they put REALLY close-up before and after pictures of their teeth to show you how awesome this mystery toothpaste works.

I was actually a little impressed (after I got over my vomiting reflex of having to look that closely at someone's teeth and gums), until I realized that they are all using the SAME stock picture!

Weirdos

I have two Facebook friends who are selling R&F. One doesn't bother me a bit. Her sales posts are not that frequent and not generally annoying. She mostly posts things like, "I have a few skincare specials right now. Message me for more info." The majority of this woman's FB posts are about her life, kids, normal FB stuff.

The other one...whew boy! Her FB feed is basically R&F all day long. Sometimes her posts are deceiving. She starts out with, "I had the strangest thing happen today. I saw someone I hadn't seen in years." She'll go on for a bit about reuniting with an old friend and she'll make it sound fun and suddenly, "And my friend commented on how young my skin looks!" Now we're into an R&F sales pitch "and you can have younger looking skin too!" Several months ago, she invited me to "Like" her R&F Facebook page. I thought, great, she'll move her sales pitches there, I won't like the page, and I won't have to see any of it. Wrong! Only about 10 of her 900 friends liked it. She posts nothing on it and still puts it all on her feed. I'm about to reach for the block button!

Come on. These are only strong women who want to take advantage of the opportunity to start their own businesses. I love how their handlers try to pimp them out to there facebook friends.

I get annoyed with all MLM selling. My sister in law sells and I've tried the products. Most of them are just like any drugstore brand products, but I will say the R&F lash boost product is unbelievable. It seriously grows lashes like crazy. It's legit. Of course, at $120 it better be.

A friend on facebook started selling it about 3 weeks ago. There were an initial couple of posts about it but nothing since then. No other facebook friends seem to be selling anything but I wouldn't hesitate to unfollow them if it starts up.

I have hidden many people on facebook for selling MLM products.

I had a woman I used to know from the gym contact me to "have coffee and catch up". I knew exactly what her plan was. No thank you.

I may give the lash boost a try, but now 4 more people I know advertising on Facebook.
Plus I have friends that post for:
Younique
Wild Tree
Mary Kay
Tupper Wear
My husbands hair dresser sells something to loose weight, but she always has posts about being a positive person and if you want to become a positive person, I should contact her.

I know my friend that does WildTree went to a Facebook timeout for 1 week. She is being told she is being watched. I wonder if Facebook is cracking down on people trying to advertise their business.

I’m so glad that Facebook at my age group (25) has pretty much died out. I’m really just on it so my mum can see what I’m up to. Instagram is where I’m guessing they’ll aim at us next. However doesn’t seem to be as big a problem in the UK. (Hope it stays that way.)
