Pretty Cool! Kevin Kidney Disney Artist 40th Anniversary Items

Kevin Kidney (yup, that's his name) is a Disney design artist. I read his blog to see what new stuff he is designing. His style is very retro/Mary Blair. His latest blog shows some things he and his partner Jodie designed for the 40th anniversary. There is a very cool vase of the Contemporary mural with the five legged goat and these ceramic cups that are replicas of the paper cups from MK when it opened.

They have designed some really cool floats for the new Disneyland parade as well which look like paper cut outs. I can't wait to see them in person. The floats I mean . Plus I believe they worked on the new really cool Tiki bar in the Disneyland Hotel, which I also can not wait to see! !

Oooooooooooooo, I love those. Do they sell alot of his things at Disneyland?

I saw his Disneyland Popcorn box and Tour Guide figurine on ebay, I would love to get either of them, especially the Tour Guide.

Oh my how I love those glasses!! I am working on getting a picture of the parade float, I know I saw it only a day or two ago in one of my Disney feeds on Facebook. Whatever anyone thinks of Facebook, it is amazing all the beautiful interesting Disney articles and pictures that come to me through that. Not to mention the people !

The first post mentions that these new items are for Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary. So you'd need to either go to Florida or call WDW Merchandise (407) 363-6200 or email at wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com

I'm not sure when they'll start selling this stuff, but I'm sure they'll definitely have it once October 1st rolls around.

I've seen the ceramic popcorn "bag" recently, and some of the drinking glasses may still be available. If at Disneyland, your best bet is to check the World of Disney store in DTD or the Disney gallery or Disneyana store (both on Main St). I don't know if the items are available on line.
