Has anyone seen pressed penny books around the parks recently?

I know that they sell the pressed penny books in the Parks because a CM asked if I needed one. Unfortunately, I can't remember which location as we visited numerous coin presses (quarter presses & penny presses). For some reason "Frontierland" comes to mind and my child also says the same thing. I believe the pressed penny books were on top of one of the penny press machines ... the machine was inside one of the shops. The cost was around $11 - 13 range I "think".

We just returned from a visit last week, and I clearly remember one location where I picked up a book and looked at it. When you enter California Adventure, there is the line of connected stores on the east side of Buena Vista Street (i.e., on the left as you enter the park). There was a display of the books on top of one of the penny press machines inside the stores. I believe the precise location was where the Five and Dime connects up to the Toy Shop.

The books must be available all over the place, although that is the only location where I can recall with certainty seeing the books.

You can find pressed penny books in numerous locations throughout both parks and also at world of disney in downtown disney. The emporium on main street carries them as well as the shops along the pier in DCA. (I can't remember exactly which shop.) I've also seem them at other small stores in both parks. They can usually be found on top of the pressed penny machines, next to them, or at the front counter near the cashiers.

Tip: You can ask a cast member at any of the stores or city hall for a map of all the pressed penny locations. They might have to track one down for you, but they do carry them.

From our July trip ... we checked with several CM's and also at City Hall ... we wanted a map of the machines which outlined which coins where available at each location ... no such map. We were told to use our Disney App and search under "coin presses". My Android version gave me a map of the locations but no details re: which coins available at the locations.

If you search the internet, I think someone compiled a list of coin press locations AND the type of coin images available. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the site so you will just need to do an internet search if you're interested in this list. Good luck!

Huh, good to know! Thanks for sharing! We were there last in March and they still had the maps then. Though they were a little outdated because they were still the 60th anniversary maps.
