Bumping, yes, why pennies from 1982 or earlier??? I need to start collecting to get ready for our trip. Also, what is the best way to shine them up?

A lot of people use mini M&M tubes, but I thought it got heavy after a while and switched to a film canister. Since it holds less, it helped with budgeting our pennies and quarters through the trip, as well.

why shiney? i read somewhere not to use them, what is the difference?
and how do you clean them? doesnt it involve baking soda and vinegar or something?
i want the pennies for my scrapbook, i discovered they are great flat souveniers to add to the pages.
