Hi!

My daugthers and I will be at Disneyland in August and thought that pressing pennies would be a nice distraction from the heat, lines, etc... Does anyone know if we can get a map or listing of all of the locations? Also, I seem to remember that WDW has a pressed penny holder - anything like that exist at DL?

Thanks!

Yes & Yes.

You can get a list of the pressed pennys by going to City Hall/Guest Services.

They also have pressed penny books at most merchandise locations (usually up by / at the register). I purchased my DD's at the Penny Arcade right up at the counter.

Seems like we didn't have to look very hard for machines this past May. Felt like almost every store had at least one, if not more than, in evry corner.

Of course there are a ton of them in the Main Street shop (middle left side if looking at the castle). Probably 10 of them in there, as well as the penny arcades.

Thanks - this will be a much better (and less fragile) hobby than collecting disney statutettes and snow globes - both of which came home in pieces after our last trip:rolleyes:

dont forget that the disney hotels have machines also... and many other attractions around southern california as well. I'm on my 2nd book full...

oh, and you will find that there are pressed nickel & quarter machines at disneyland as well!!!

:hyper: Bring lots of change!!!

Does it cost 51 cents for a pressed penny? -2 quarters plus the penny

How about the pressed quarters, ect.

I really think DD4 would love to do this. I just want to make sure to bring enough $$$ to really make it fun.

Thank you:cool: Susan

Yep--51 cents for the pennies. I think quarters are $1.25--a dollar plus the quarter being pressed.

Great, thank you iceskatejen. I already went through my change and put aside the quarters so that I don't spend them.

Thanks,

Susan

My kids both have free ones from the bank on Main Street (near the entrance, opposite side from City Hall)....don't know if they still give them away, but it was a nice freebie when we got them! They handed the kids the penny and a card to put them on and let them press them on the machine in the bank.

:teeth: Thank you challada, we will try it when we go. I've never been in the bank on Main Street. We will go in and ask. I'm always in the market for freebees.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thank you,

Susan:wave:
