Does anyone have an updated list of pressed pennies and quarters? All I can find are lists with the 100 years of magic quarters on them. Are there any new ones.

Thank you

Not sure, but the quarters are 75 years of Mickey. We did them at Epcot Mousegears, the Contemporary and in the train station in Magic Kingdom.

My DS has really gotten into the penny machines. I want to get him one of the holders from WDW. Can i get these at our resort? (WL). How much are they and how many pennies do they hold? I had also seen a solution that worked well to shine the pennies, anyone remember what it was? I had also read a neat trick of using mini M&M containers to hold the pennies and quarters. Guess mom will have to make the sacrifice and eat up those M&M's to make room for the money. Thanks for any help.

We soak our pre-1982 pennies (real copper) in lemon juice. They shine up nicely. Also, if you really can't bear to eat M&M's (ha-ha!), empty film containers work well for carrying too. I fill mine with two quarters/one penny, two quarters/one penny, etc., etc. That way I'm not flubbing around trying to find the quarters needed for the 50 cent charge to press the penny! I am also trying to find an updated list, all the ones I've found on the web are old. I do know though that once you arrive at Disney you can ask almost any CM who has access to the Disney computer system and they will print you out a list. Last year the hostess at Tony's in MK printed one out for us. The books used to be hard to find, but when we went in April we saw them everywhere. Our penny book purchased this past January holds 36 pressed pennies and has an additional six holders that will fit pressed pennies or pressed quarters. Our quarter holder purchased also in January holds 36 pressed quarters. :)

You can also shine pennies up using ketchup.. I have done it and it works great. I used a little bowl and put a small amount of ketchup in bottom then put my pennies and some more ketccup and waited about 10 minutes and then just rinsed them off under running water. They really shine...

Hope this helps.

Wow... thanks for the ketchup tip.... I'll be sure to try it !

I soaked my pre-1982 pennies in vinegar and it shined them nicely. We also used film containers to store coins but I wish I had thought of the mini m&m containers to hold more.
