My niece is looking forward to starting her collection! Are the books available to purchase before our trip?

I bought two earlier this year on the Disney Store website.

I haven't ever been able to find them before hand (not this year) but it's usually one of our first purchases. For some reason it seems like we have bought both the first and second at the gift shop at Space Mountain.

We got all of ours at our first "Penny stop", usually the first shop as we enter the park.

They are!!! They have two designs a Tinkerbell/purple one and a Travel around the WDW one that is white. I did find ones on Amazon but they were very plain and showed no real ties to Disney. We had so much fun doing this that we didn't buy any pins which we normally do. We decided to do this tradition every time we go now.
