I am going to DL in a little less than 2 weeks.:yay: How much does it cost to press pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters. I am going to try to get one of everyone available. Do you think that is possible????? Also, I have heard that there are books to put your pressed coins in, how much are they and how many do they hold?

Hi, and have fun on your trip! To press pennies, it cost 50 cents ( not including penny), and the higher the coins go, the more it cost for them to be pressed. There are no pressed dimes, just pressed pennies, nickels, and I'm not sure about pressed quarters :confused3 There are usually 3 choices on a pressed coin machine. I'm not sure if it's possible to get every single one available, as there are so many machines around the park, but you can try. There are lot's of pressed coins machines in the Penny Arcade located on
Main Street, and there are machines after you exit rides ( Buzz Lightyear Star Command, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, etc.) The pressed coin book I have is from around 2005, and it holds 52 pennies, and there are six slots for bigger coins (ie: pressed nickels) I believe the books costs around 5 dollars.

There are also pressed quarters, although I can't remember how much or where they are.

Did you get your book in the park?

you can get pressed quarters after you exit pirates of the caribbean, theyre to the left of the exit i think right before you see the entrance of haunted mantion and its costs a dollar.

my book costs 6 dollars at the Winnie the Pooh Corner right after you exit splash mountain you can see that store.

Thanks for the info. I had heard that DL does't provide change for the machines, so to be safe I am going to bring a million quarters - That should put some weight in the luggage. Going in 11 days and I can hardly wait. :cheer2:

A quick way to make pressed pennies is to layer them in an empty mini M&M's container or a plastic film container, alternating 2 quarters and a penny throughout the container. Your coins will be all ready to go when you find a pressed penny machine! Have fun!:)

If I remember correctly it cost $1.00 to press a quarter - not including the quarter to be pressed. The penny machines are located in just about every store in the park. The nickel and quarter machines are harder to find.

During the 50th we tried to get all of the specisal ones - came close!

Just keep your eyes peeled for the machines, definitely get a book (we found them everywhere), and have your coins ready! We make sure we have nice clean and shiny pennies and the other assorted coins ready in a baggie (doesn't take up much room and keeps everything together).

Have fun!
